Jungkook waking up to Taehyung's smile and chest under his head is nothing short of a blessing.
---
Jungkook's eyes fluttered open.
As his senses slowly came back to him, he felt a hard surface underneath him, quickly recognising it as his boyfriend's chest. He faintly smelt a familiar scent, linking it back to his partner's signature smell.
Lifting his head, he glanced up to see said boyfriend already awake and staring at him with a soft smile. He felt his heart jump a little, both at the surprise of him already conscious and the smile he'd been whipped for for almost four years.
"Good morning, bunny," he chuckled, his tiredness evident in the form of the deep and hoarse tone his voice had taken on.
"Good morning, Tae," he smiled. He set his head back down onto one of his broad shoulders, moving upwards to nose at the crook of his neck. Jungkook loved mornings like this, when he'd wake up in the safe arms of his beloved, one wrapped around his waist whereas the other combed gently through his hair.
They rarely got any time to themselves nowadays with Taehyung being busy at work and Jungkook emerging himself in piles of course work. It was quite taxing, law school wasn't something he was particularly fond of. However, seeing as though it was mandatory in becoming a lawyer, Jungkook couldn't really complain. Whenever things became too demanding, Taehyung was always there to pull him into his strong embrace and whisper praise and encouragement into his ear.
Taehyung, on the other hand, was already an established art teacher. He taught university students about the history of different arts and how to recreate some, whilst putting their own twist into it. Even though it left his shoulders stiff with stress, Jungkook was always there to massage it away with slow hands and a smile.
Taehyung looked down at Jungkook and saw his puffy eyes and small pout, internally cooing at the sight. "Baby," he laughed, "Why are you pouting?"
Jungkook murmured, "No reason."
Before Jungkook could even blink, Taehyung pulled him on top of him so he was straddling him. He stared down at the now smiling man with wide eyes and an even bigger pout. "Hey," he whined, hitting his shoulder lightly. He giggled when Taehyung clutched his shoulder, acting hurt. "I was comfortable there, now I'm cold."
Taehyung grabbed the back of his neck, gently pulling him down to lay his head under his chin. "I was cold all night from you snagging the cover off of me. Haven't you heard of Newton's law? Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This is my revenge."
There was a moment of silence. "That made literally zero sense, hyung."
Taehyung flicked the back of his head, "I'm an art teacher, let me live."
They laid in further silence for a few more minutes. It was a comfortable silence, where they bask in each other's presence and count their blessings. God knows what they'd be doing now without each other.
Four years ago, they'd gotten lucky.
Taehyung fixed his tie nervously.
It was just a job interview, why was he being such a pussy? All he had to do was answer a few measly questions and bam! He'd have the job.
It wasn't like that however. Taehyung had liked art since he'd popped out of his mother, so to be given the opportunity to teach and educate people on the subject was something he would forever be grateful for. He'd been recognised for his enthusiasm in art and had been offered a job in one of the most prestigious schools in Seoul, possibly South Korea too.
