Jeongguk takes his husband to work for the day, and he'd appreciate if someone told him why everyone seems to be god damn staring at Taehyung, so he takes matters into his own hands.
alternatively:
in which jeongguk takes taehyung to work with him, and everyone seems to be mesmerized by the gorgeous 5'10 ethereal man with shaggy grey hair. jeongguk gets it, but god damn, keep your hands to yourself.
----
"Taehyung, calm down –"
"-How can I calm down? You're taking me to your work for no reason what so ever, and –"
Jeongguk huffed, quickly interrupting Taehyung before another word could leave his pretty lips. "Baby, no. I'm taking you to work because you had a panic attack this morning, and I don't want to leave you on your own."
Taehyung didn't answer, and instead reached over to place a firm hand on his husband's thigh, squeezing it probably harder than he should. He wasn't aware if the grip was hurting Jeongguk, but if it was, he didn't seem to be phased; they rode like that for the remaining ten minutes until they soon reached the parking lot, Jeongguk carefully reversing into a free parking space in his, their, matte black Mercedes G Wagon.
A perk of working in Jeon industries.
It wasn't a hidden fact that Jeongguk's dad was the CEO of Jeon industries, hence the name, the company sky rocketing in the early 2000's. He remembers Jeongguk telling him they were completely bankrupt before that, his dad working seemingly endless hours and distancing himself from his family – not by choice. He also informed him that he'd go to bed on an empty stomach almost every night, not having enough food in the house to feed even their god damn cat, which they had to get rid of eventually for the money. (Taehyung didn't cry at all when his husband told him that part).
Jeongguk assured him that Mina, the name of the cat, was with a better family and wasn't starving anymore like it was with the Jeon's. That obviously made Taehyung feel better, until his basically devil incarnate of a husband told him that the owners contacted him last year to tell them Mina died of old age.
Taehyung swatted him across the head; Jeongguk gave him extra cuddles after the named incident.
But Jeongguk didn't come from an arrogant background, his family's nature probably listing under extremely hard working, which in the end, had its perks. Clearly. Not every day you could arrive to work in a fucking G-Wagon.
Considering their engagement present last year was a 1.2 million dollar mansion, neither of them were complaining.
Despite Jeongguk having enough money for at least five luxurious life times, he still wanted to work; both of them knew his father was giving up the company soon, handing it to Jeongguk himself to take over which was beyond crazy in their eyes. Yet a part of Taehyung was also disappointed, however. He didn't get to spend as much time with his husband as he'd like to as it was at the minute, let alone when he's CEO of the god damn company, not at either faults of their own of course. But he wasn't one to complain, they had a luxurious lifestyle that other's envied, and Taehyung ended up also taking up a small job in the local record shop which Jeongguk fought against the idea of.
Taehyung won, of course.
("Jeongguk, I'm not just going to let you work. That's not fair."
"Taehyung, my job brings in more than enough money. We could feed a family of one hundred, and that's probably only five percent!"
"Shut the fuck up. I'm doing it."
