Sliding his thumb over the screen up and down, Jungkook scrolled through the pictures of him and Taehyung inside his phone, reminiscing the moments he had with Taehyung, the dates they went to and the jokes Taehyung made that had Jungkook laughing so hard and deep down inside, he missed his boyfriend. He missed to hold Taehyung's hand, to have the strong arms wrapped around him and to kiss those warm plush lips. He missed Taehyung... so much. But the last conversation they had wasn't a pleasant one. It hurt Jungkook's feelings when he found out that Taehyung was still closeted and that the older was keeping their relationship a secret. He thought Taehyung was proud to have him as a boyfriend, as a partner. But then Jungkook was probably being harsh too. It was easy for him to come out to his open-minded parents but not everyone has the privilege and he suddenly felt guilty.
Taehyung had been calling him numerous times, sending him tons of messages. Jungkook decided not to reply... just yet. Sighing heavily, he opened the LINE app. Jungkook had Taehyung muted but then the most recent message he received caught his eyes.
Taehyung: My grandparents want to meet you, baby (grinning Brown sticker)
Jungkook almost fell off his bed. He swallowed as he re-read the message over and over again. With his shaky thumbs, he typed back a reply.
Jungkook: Are you serious? (shock Cony sticker)
It only took Taehyung less than a minute to reply. Probably had his phone in his hand the whole time, waiting for Jungkook to finally reply to his text.
Taehyung: Yes, Ggukie. Dead serious! Are you free now? Want me to pick you up? I miss you...
Taehyung: I already told them everything. I told them about you... you're not a secret, baby. Never was and never will...
Taehyung: Well, actually your father spilled it out when he saw me... accidentally. Turns out he's my grandpa's doctor! What a small world, right? (dancing Brown sticker)
Jungkook couldn't believe what he's reading. That meant Taehyung's grandfather was currently getting treatment at his father's hospital.
Jungkook: You don't have to pick me up...
Jungkook: I'll text you when I arrive.
Jungkook: And I miss you too... so much.
"Jeongguk-ah, what are you doing here?" Doctor Jeon's eyes widened at the sight of his youngest son walking down the hallway with a brown paper bag in his hand. "Are you come here to visit me?"
Jungkook chuckled and rolled his eyes, "No, dad... don't be so full of yourself".
"Ouch, my heart... someone call me, quick!" Mr. Jeon mocked a hurt look as he clutched onto his chest dramatically.
Jungkook couldn't help but to giggle and shook his head, "Oh my God, dad... stop embarrassing me..." he said even though he's used to his dad's jokes and the man being his dorky self. The side of his dad that he loved the most. And you know who else is dorky? Kim Taehyung.
"I'm actually here... to visit... Taehyung's grandfather," Jungkook told his father.
"Ah... I see! Um, about that... I may have said something... about you and Taehyung to his grandfather. I didn't know your boyfriend is still closeted, Gguk... I'm so, so sorry, son..."
"Dad, it's fine... Taehyung explained to me already," Jungkook said, giving his father a reassuring smile. "He- he told his grandparents about me already and they want to meet me..."
