Taehyung tries to discretely click a picture of Jungkook.

Boyfriends are cheesy and cute and floofy.

Taehyung looked out through the window of their four-wheel drive. He had always been fascinated by all things in nature, but the desert was seriously something else. The golden-brown sand-dunes, flowing, shifting as the sun drifted lazily towards the horizon seemed powerful and alive.

The drive had been fun, what with Namjoon asking why camels were born the way they were, and word games full of made up words. Taehyung wondered if he'd ever come back here again, a desert at sunset, all seven of them. He wondered if this was, in fact, the most wonderful time in his life.

The only thing that could have made the drive better was Jungkook. With Jungkook in the car, there would have been the comfort, the calmness in his chest that always felt like coming home, along with this bubbling happiness that made him feel like he could never be sad again.

So when they finally pulled up beside the other cars, it was only natural that Taehyung would nearly trip over his own feet, trying to make his way through the soft sand to where he spotted Jungkook, crouched down on top of a low sand-dune with his head at an awkward angle and a camera in his hands.

Taehyung laughed, shaking his head as he tried to figure out if he'd reach faster if he climbed the slope on all fours.

When he reached the top, dusting off his clothes, squinting at the sky above the horizon where the sun was still jarringly bright, Jungkook stood a few feet away, gazing into the distance, camera in his hand, arms hanging limp at his sides, lips parted in either awe or confusion, or both.

The thing about Jungkook was that no matter what Jungkook did, he looked strikingly good. Even if he had toothpaste in his hair and paint all over his clothes, he managed to look as if he were art and not a bizarre mess.

Taehyung shouldn't have been shocked at how angelic Jungkook looked, with the sun behind him creating a nearly blinding halo, standing with the casual grace of an oblivious dancer, but he was. He always was - chest tight, throat choked with unvoiced words of awe, as if emotions could actually suffocate and kill.

Which is why it took about forever for him to realize that his phone with a perfectly good camera was in his pocket and that Jungkook wasn't going to be standing like this forever. He quietly slipped his phone out of his pocket. Jungkook had not spotted him yet.

Taehyung swore under his breath, flinching because had he seriously forgotten to switch the shutter sound off? Was he really such a goddamn amateur? Did Jungkook have to look this gorgeous when he was caught off guard?

"Wha- Tae?" Jungkook blinked, patting his hair down.

Why did confusion look so fucking adorable on him?

"Did you just take a picture of me?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow, his mind finally catching up.

"I- w-well-" Taehyung hoped that, in some alternate reality, he didn't stutter right now

Woah, was Jungkook annoyed? Fuck, that's hot.

"Damn, Taehyung," Jungkook laughed softly, "Taking sneaky pictures of your crush could you in trouble, you know?"

Damn, Jungkook, if you smirked that way on stage... just- damn.

Taehyung bit down on his lip.

Taehyung took a step back as Jungkook walked towards him, bending gracefully over to pack his camera back into his bag. Jungkook looked so good like this, windblown hair, that glint of mischief in his eyes that Taehyung needed to stare at all times. And so-

When Jungkook got back to his feet, his eyes bright with a wide bunny-smile, not surprised in the least, Taehyung had only a second to wonder if he had been played.

"You're so dead," Jungkook laughed, taking off towards Taehyung in a swift run, then promptly slipping and ending up an anti-climatic heap in the sand.

Taehyung was laughing so hard, he nearly cried. Trust Jungkook to make revenge hilarious and downright adorable.

"Wow," Taehyung managed through his laughter, "You're such a baby."

"I'm the baby?" Jungkook exclaimed, indignant. "Me?" he picked himself up and dusted his clothes off, "We'll see, Tae-taehyungie."

Taehyung ran as fast as he possibly could, tripping, slipping, laughing as the sand blew into his face. They were definitely going to get in trouble with their hair and makeup noonas, but that a problem for later.

"Mercy! Mercy! Peace!" Taehyung cried out, laughing so hard that he wondered how he was breathing as Jungkook pinned him to the sand on the other side of the slope, "I'm sorry, I swear! I won't do it again!"

Not that he disliked it. Honestly, getting pinned down by Jungkook was one of the hottest things that had ever happened to him, and Taehyung still blushed every time he remembered how turned on he was in their dance practice room with everyone around.

"Who's the baby now, hm?" Jungkook's giggle did not match the tone of his voice as he pressed Taehyung's wrists harder against the sand. Taehyung bit down on his lip hard because Jungkook knew exactly what he was doing.

"Still you," Taehyung murmured, slightly breathless when Jungkook's gaze flickered momentarily down to his lips. Taehyung could feel his ears warm.

"Well, then," Jungkook mumbled with a shy smile, and Taehyung wanted to squeal into a pillow, "Can I be your baby?"

"Ohmygod," Taehyung groaned, trying so hard not to smile. Biting down on his lips when he realised that his hands were still trapped, and his blush was indeed very bright and visible, "That's so fucking cheesy, I can't even-"

Taehyung broke off, jolting in surprise as his phone, safe in his pocket, pinged about ten times in barely a second.

"Jimin," They both sighed. Taehyung didn't care that he giggled about their synchronization for many seconds as Jungkook let go of his wrists.

"Let me guess," Jungkook smiled, ruffling Taehyung's hair, "He wants us to stop flirting and get our asses back there."

Jimin had actually sent the exact sentence, nearly word for word, overlooking the cussing, in eleven texts.

"Yep," Taehyung slipped his phone back into his pocket, "Let's go."

"Y-yeah, um," Jungkook stuttered before he leaned over and brushed his lips lightly over Taehyung's.

Taehyung blinked.

"L-let's go!" Jungkook hopped comically quickly to his feet and started towards where his camera bag was. He ran his fingers through his hair and slipped his hands casually into his pocket.

The tips of Jungkook's ears were bright pink.

Taehyung smiled. Adorkable Show-off.
