Taekook AU wherein Taehyung feels like Jeongguk doesn't love and want him anymore, so he lets go.
"I'd rather let go than hold on to someone who clearly doesn't want to be with me anymore."

The first time Taehyung felt it, was when they're given a one day break before their comeback performance.
"Hey Gukkie, wanna do something? You know like movie date in my or your room? Or we can just play-." The younger interrupted him.
"Sorry Tae, not today. I'm tired." Taehyung frowned. Jeongguk never once refused his offers despite of being tired. So he pushed once again.
"Come on Gukkie. We finally got a break. Can we just like? Spend it with each other? I miss being alone with you." Taehyung pulled out his cutest facial expression, lips formed into a pout and his puppy like eyes. Jeongguk just stared at him and sighed.
"No, Tae please. I just want to rest all day." Taehyung whined like a child whose candy got stolen by his playmate.
                              "Okay then let's just cud-"
"I want to be alone." Jeongguk cut him off with a stern voice and got up before leaving to his own room.
Taehyung was taken aback by the younger's behavior. Jeongguk was never like that to him before.
"Maybe he's just really tired." He sighed softly, ignoring the feeling of being rejected by his own boyfriend for the first time in their relationship.
The second time Taehyung felt the stinging pain in his heart was when they were doing a rehearsal for their performance in a music show.
"Gukkie, can we talk?" Taehyung asked softly to Jeongguk, who was stretching.
"We have a performance in a few minutes so just save it for later." Jeongguk replied and continued what he was doing.
"Okay." Taehyung whispered but enough for Jeongguk to hear. Taehyung just did his stretching too.
Few minutes later, when a staff called their names one by one to usher them on their rightful positions, Taehyung went to Jeongguk's side.
"Gukkie I'm feeling nervous. What if I mess up? What if I miss a note?" Taehyung said anxiously while playing with the hem of his shirt, a habit when he's nervous.
"You won't. Just don't forget about what we practiced and stick to it." Jeongguk replied dismissively, not even sparing him a glance. Taehyung almost cried but held it in. Jeongguk wouldn't say those things when he's feeling nervous. Jeongguk would caress his nape to comfort him and would tell him things like "You won't mess it up baby. I believe in you" "You would do great, trust me" or even something like "Just think about having fun on stage. Don't mind the stares, just focus on what you're doing, okay?"
"O-okay." He answered shakily and went back to his place. He refused to cry in front of the younger, and their performance is in a few minutes anyway so he didn't have time to.
And he really did messed up. He made mistakes. He missed some notes and some steps. The member tried to reassure him that he did great but he wouldn't believe them. He just nodded along with them.
Later that night, when they went back to their dorm. Jeongguk and him didn't get to talk. He went straight to his room and cried himself to sleep, thinking about his mistakes, Jeongguk, and their falling relationship.
The third time Taehyung felt his heart shattering into million pieces was when Jeongguk completely ignored him for a week. No greetings nor calls of his name. He didn't get enough sleep and barely eat. The members seemed to notice it, but tried not to interfere, thinking the two youngest would figure things out and make up soon.
