Taehyung's cheating ex-boyfriend pays him a visit begging for a second chance. A stranger overhears the conversation and pretends to be Taehyung's boyfriend and tells the other guy to fuck off. But that stranger just so happens to be Idol Jeon Jeongguk.

---

It had been six months.

Six months since Jimin had told Taehyung he had seen Seungwoo making out with another guy.

Six months since Taehyung had ended things with Seungwoo, taken his stuff and moved out.

He had been doing okay. More than okay, he was doing great. Seungwoo barely crossed his mind these days.

That is until the day that Seungwoo showed up at his work begging Taehyung to take him back.

It was a small coffee shop that Taehyung worked at since he was still in university.

Taehyung had just finished his shift, hung up his apron, grabbed his coat and keys, and was heading for the door.

"Taehyung, sit down a second," a voice called.

Taehyung begrudgingly spun around to see Seungwoo sitting at a table smiling at him.

"Why are you here?" Taehyung asked coldly.

"What? I can't come visit my friend at his workplace?"

"We never have been nor will we ever be friends. And if you want to visit someone at their workplace, why don't you visit that little skank, whatever his name was. The one you cheated on me with, remember?" Taehyung growled.

"Well, someone's grumpy today," Seungwoo replied simply.

"No, it's just because of you." Taehyung had no sympathy left for the man sitting in front of him and he didn't care if he was harsh or blunt.

"Here, I ordered an extra coffee for you," Seungwoo said as he held out a cup.

"If I wanted a coffee, I would've gotten one. But I didn't and now I'm leaving." With that, Taehyung started to walk in the other direction but a hand gripped his wrist.

"Don't walk away from me, Tae, please. Not again."

Taehyung removed Seungwoo's hand from himself.

"You don't have the right to call me that and you better not touch me ever again."

"Just hear me out," Seungwoo pleaded.

Taehyung turned to face his ex-boyfriend. "I don't think there's anything you could say that could make me feel any different. But you have a minute."

"Thank you," Seungwoo responded.

"Wasting time," Taehyung reminded.

"Right. Okay. First I just wanna say I'm sorry, I hate that I hurt you. Cheating on you was really one of the dumbest decisions of my life-"

"You think," Taehyung snorted.

Seungwoo ignored this comment and kept going, "-Secondly, I want to tell you, it was only that one time and I never even saw that guy ever again. It was a dumb decision I made when I was drunk-"

"Funny, Jimin said there wasn't any alcohol at the party and no signs to indicate that you were drunk at all," Taehyung gritted.

"Please give me another chance, Taehyung."

"No," Taehyung said flatly.

"I still love you a lot. And I know you love me, too."

"I loved the person I thought you were. And that person would've never cheated on me. But it doesn't matter because I got over you months ago." After that, Taehyung started to walk away, but Seungwoo grabbed his arm again.

"Let go of him," someone said.

There weren't that many people in the coffee shop and Taehyung didn't want to make a scene. But he was glad he had caught someone's attention, to help him get out of this.

Rather than simply telling Seungwoo to back off (which he thankfully did), he went one step further.

The stranger looped his arm around Taehyung's waist and said, "I'm sorry I took so long in the bathroom, baby. Is this guy bothering you?"

While the man had been speaking, Taehyung was surveying him. He was wearing all black including a black hat and face mask which was... alarming, but something in his eyes told Taehyung to trust him, that he just want to help.

Taehyung smiled at the man. "Babe! I didn't realize you were coming to pick me up after my shift today."

The man pulled his face mask down to talk better, "I actually wanted to surprise you with dinner."

Taehyung was shocked by how handsome he was, but kept going. "I'm ready to leave."

"Y-you have a boyfriend?" Seungwoo spoke. The man, who had been facing Taehyung, turned to face Seungwoo. Seungwoo's jaw dropped, "And he's Jeon Jeongguk?"

Taehyung took another look at his 'boyfriend' and it was indeed the famous idol.

He had felt a sense a familiarity upon seeing the other's face, but he didn't realize it wad actually Jeon Jeongguk until then. He also realized that they were still in the middle of a crowded coffee shop.

"Keep your voice down," Taehyung said.

"How... How did you score someone like... well, him?" Seungwoo asked.

Jeongguk scowled, "Have you not opened your eyes lately? Taehyung is the most beautiful man to grace those earth. A more important question is how I scored him."

Taehyung shrunk a little bit. A gorgeous idol was complimenting him.

"Can we go now?" he asked.

"Yeah." Jeongguk turned to Seungwoo for one last comment, "You should think twice before cheating on the best thing to ever happened to you."

Jeongguk placed a kiss on Taehyung's cheek and moved his hand from Taehyung's waist to interlock their hand as they exited.

Once they had walked about a block, Jeongguk stopped.

"I'm sorry for eavesdropping and stuff. He was just being so persistent and I got mad."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome," Jeongguk smiled. "I don't mean to be weird, but I've admired you from afar at the cafe for a few months. And I was wondering if I could actually take you to dinner?"

Taehyung's jaw dropped. Jeon Jeongguk, an idol, had just asked Taehyung out.

"I'd love to."
