CT chapter: 43

Current Timeline: Taehyung's POV

I walked towards the telephone booth trying to expel any fear from my mind as I forced myself to walk closer to it. 

My hands trembled while I took the phone and inserted the coins in the slot. My heart beat quickly and my fingers slowly dialed the number. 

"Hello. How may I help you?"

I hesitated for a minute before mustering up the courage to speak.

"I-I'm here to report someone."

I let out in a small voice.

"Yes?"

"U-uhm, it's about a...."

"It's okay. Feel free to say anything. Nobody will know."

"It's about a he-heist that will take place in Incheon."

"A heist? When?"

"I-I'm not sure."

"Who is heading the heist?"

"A woman named Lee Chaerin."

"Lee Chaerin?"

"Yes."

"Okay, thank you sir. Do not worry no one will come to know of this."

"Okay."

I hung up the phone my heart still beating at an uncontrollable pace.

Did I do something wrong?

I was already regretting my decision.

Did I just put Jungkook in greater danger?

He only has a day left.

Even though I had thought a thousand times before, I still felt like I had caused more damage than good. 

Now, all I can do is just wait and watch.

The next day Jungkook and I were vigilant. 

Today, she was supposed to come for him. 

We waited the whole day but no one ever showed up. 

This however only increased the anxiety we felt. 

There was not even a call or message from her. 

Fear and regret continued to eat me away from the inside while I just kept worrying if I had done the right thing or she had found out and was just biding her time and thinking of ways to make Jungkook pay. 

I shuddered at the very thought of what might happen to him. 

We were not dealing with just his sister. We were dealing with something far more dangerous and that was Lee Chaerin. 

I looked at him sadly as he bit the skin on the sides of his fingers. 

He was so nervous. 

We had decided that I would give an anonymous tip and see what would happen. After all, what more do we have to lose? 

We loved each other and were together and that was all that mattered to us. 

He was initially reluctant but then he realized that otherwise there was no other way out. 

Two more days passed with no word from her.

We wondered what happened. Was she too busy worrying about the heist that she forgot about Jungkook?
