"Ross?" I call through the Lynch's house, walking up the stairs.

I haven't seen Ross in about a week; I went away on vacation. I walk toward Ross' bedroom door, to hear him talking. I walk in, and see him with a girl, half her clothes off. My eyes full with tears and Ross turns my way.

I run out of the room as Ross calls behind me, "Ell! Come back! It wasn't what it looked like!"

I just keep on running until I'm out of the house, and on the street outside. I finally sit down on a bench in the park, and hear footsteps behind me, then someone sitting next to me.

"Ell," Ross says, but I don't look up. His hand touches my arm, but I pull away softly. "Ell, I... I... I'm sorry. I-I love you." His voice cracks, and I look up. His eyes are filled with tears.

"Then why did you do it?" I ask. "Why did you?" He takes a deep breath, then looks at me. "I honestly don't know. I'm an idiot."

We sit in silence for a moment, until I say, "Just let me think about it, okay? It'll only be for a day or so." Ross nods sadly, and I couldn't help but lean in and kiss his cheek, then I get up, walking home.

-- two days later --

I've been thinking about what's happened. Ross made a bad choice, everyone makes bad choices in their life, and I know he regretted it right after he saw me.

So that's why, right now, I'm going over to the Lynch's house again. I knock on the door once I arrive, and Ross answers.

"Ellie!" Ross exclaims, pulling me into a bone-crushing hug.

"Hi," I say quietly, pulling away slightly, looking into Ross' eyes, I admit that I missed over the two days I didn't see him. "About what happened... I've thinking and..."

"You want to break up?" Ross' voice cracks just like it did two days ago. "No, no," I say. "I wanted to say that I know you regretted it right after you saw me, and also that I forgive you."

Before I know what's happening, Ross' lips are on mine in soft kiss, then he's pulled me into a hug again, his head resting in the crook of my neck.

"I love you so much, Ell."

"I love you too, Ross."
