You had waited for this for forever. You were finally married to the love of your life, Ellington, and now it was just the reception.

"Hi everyone," Ellington smiled to all of your guests as he stood at the podium, about to make his speech. "So I guess I'm making this about (Y/N) and I. Well, when we first met, her smoothie was all over me."

He chuckled along with your guests as you blushed. "And then, about two months later, we'd decided that she should meet the rest of the band, and I remember Rocky flirting with her," he playfully glared at his best friend, which made him laugh. "And I remember how well her and Delly got along, and still do.

"Then there's the time - actually, I don't think (Y/N) would like me bringing that up, so I won't, but I'll end this on the note of," he paused, and grinned. "I, will always love youuuuuuuuuu, my darling (Y/N)."

But now, on your 30 year anniversary, you were alone. You may ask why. This was because Ell had passed two years ago because of a heart condition.

And to say you missed him was an understatement. But it had been especially hard on your daughter, Ariel, who was only 14 when he had passed. They were really close; attatched at the hip. They did almost everything together, and he was even teaching her to play drums. After his passing, Ross had even offered to finish off for him, but she had politely denied - it.just wasn't the same.

But, each day you think of everything you both did together, you know that he'd want you to be happy. So that's what you've been trying to do for him - trying to be happy.
