"Hey y/n" Jonah says walking past you in the halls
Jonah has been your crush for over 6 years and he has yet to realize. The way he talks to you makes you feel super special.
You try to make subtle hints like "Hey we should go out on a date sometime just as friends" or "you're really cute I wonder how you haven't gotten a girlfriend by now"
But he's just so clueless
You say hi back to him and he smiles and goes on with his day
When you get home you notice you have a text from Jonah
So many thoughts are going through your head you may explode
J- hey you looked great today

J- I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go on a date or something

Y- well I'm never busy so whenever
NO HE CANT THINK I JUST HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR HIM HE NEEDS TO KNOW IM BUSY
Y- I don't know Ive been really busy recently
NO NOT GOOD THEN HE WONT GO ON A DATE WITH ME
Y- any day really I'll just need to make sure I'm not doing anything
YES PERFECT SHOWING HIM YOU WANT THE DATE BUT NOT BEING TOO OPEN FOR HIM
J- how about tonight
OMG TONIGHT IM NOT READY
Y- yeah that'd be good, what time
J- how's 9???
PERFECT
Y- yeah that's great
J- well see you then
OMG OMG OMG IM SO EXCITED
You finally contain your thoughts and go to your bathroom to take a shower, put on some clothes, straighten your hair, and put some subtle makeup
You start getting nervous because it's 8:30.
More thoughts go through your mind like 'what if he doesn't like me' Or even worse 'what if he doesn't show up'.
That would be awful if after all this he doesn't show.
Suddenly, your thoughts are interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Oh wow" you hear him whisper once you open the door
"Hello" you say after just kinda standing there awkwardly Staring for 5 minutes
"Hi so are you ready to go" Jonah asks
"Yup" I say
Oh no that was so stupid "Yup" What does that mean
You guys walk to his car and he drives to Olive Garden.
You walk in the restaurant and when he puts your name in you realize the person who's taking your name is friends with Jonah.
You look for his name tag and see it says Daniel.
Hm strange
You get in right away and his other friend Jack bring you guys to your table.
This is weird why are all of his friends here.
"I'm surprised you actually said yes" Jonah says
"Why wouldn't I" you say
Oh no was that stupid
"You just seem like you wouldn't like me" he says as the waiter comes to our table
OMG ITS HIS FRIEND AGAIN
"Welcome to Olive Garden I'm Zach- I mean Zachary your waiter what would you like to drink"
"Why wouldn't I like you" You say once Zach leaves
"I don't know. It's just I've liked you for a while now and I figured that you just liked me as a friend. But I figured I might as well just ask and see what you'd say. And well I did and you said yes" he says
OMG HE LIKES ME
Just after he says this Zach comes and takes your order while also giving your drinks
He leaves and you continue with the conversation
"Can I tell you something" you ask
"Sure what's up"
"Well the thing is I've also um I guess you could say liked you for a while too" you say hesitantly
"Oh well that makes this whole a lot better and less awkward"
The rest of the date goes great. But of course his friend Corbyn gave the food. It was so weird
You guys leave the restaurant and he drives you home
He brings you to the door and smiles
"So y/n I was wondering if maybe you'd want to go out with me. Not like a date but like together boyfriend/girlfriend"
"Yes Jonah i would go out with you" I say
OMG OMG OMG
"Perfect. Oh and by the way you looked great tonight" he says walking away
