Can was crazy about Sanem. He knew from the very beginning she was different. A breath of fresh air in his otherwise stale world. He gave up early on to ever try to understand her. She possessed neither logic nor reason for her behavior. And that is what drew him to her...

Laying down with his head spinning from being struck by Sanem, Can could not help but to reflect on the comical side of the situation. A situation that in itself proved as much hillariously funny as it actually revealed to him how much Sanem still cared for him...

Aside from his love and longing for Sanem, what trully stood out to him was her unappologetic and often illogical sense of humor. And their story was filled with unsurpassed examples of just that. Going back to their beginning, it was Sanem's uncensored words of her discust for Can and as Sanem put it, his lack of caring toward workers, that made him curious about her. He realized she was not afraid to speak her mind. No, she was never afraid to speak her mind. And he found that to be so refreshing in the world filled with fake smiles and pretended gestures.

Her humor was a pure ray of sunshine when she did whatever she could to sabotage Arzu's advances toward Can in Agua. And when he realized it was she who pulled the fire alarm at the hotel, he could not hide his amazement about her. The fact that she put strawberries in Arzu's juice proved to be just another bonus level for Can. Though he would never admit it, he was actually impressed by that, and very thankful to Sanem for what she had done.

When she fed him in Mevkibe's kitchen, he enjoyed himself more than Sanem would understand. And when she gave him hints of which food to praise, he realized they worked well as a team.

When she took his hand and they left for his cabin after meeting Fabri, she told him she always felt hungry with him by her side because her stomach would always rumble. He told her that what she felt was not called hunger, and he had to laugh because his explanation went right over her head. And later that evening he realized she had the cutest smile ever when she danced unduced by the wine.

That raw sense of humor always got her in trouble whenever her parents were around when Can was near. Whether it was yelling at Can for requesting two teas just to find out Nihat was in Can's office. Whether it was explaining to her parents that Can was kissed by a model and not herself during the photoshoot in her neighborhood, or wheter it was explaining to Mevkibe that after they were stuck in the elevator that she made him breakfast under the roof of the agency...

And Can had to admit what really made her stand out was Sanem's exceptional skills of the culinary world. He trully believed she put her humor to its best work when it came to cooking. Those raw cutlets she brought for Can proved too futile to ever bring up again. The spaghetti bolognese they prepared at his home burned beyond recognition. And the breakfast eggs and toast she prepared after they became friends again could have been considered as an insult to the ingredients themselves, for the burn of the toast was surpassed a thousand-times by the taste and crunch of the eggshels in the eggs. Yet that only made him love her more...

So now that he rested his aching head on Sanem's lap, it made him realize she was still the same Sanem. The same carefree spirit with uncensored thought process. He asked why she hit him, and she replied by saying she thought he was a bear. And that was so pure and so Sanem, that he just agreed with her. And as a result of this comical moment, Sanem gathered him up and without even realizing what she had done, she revealed all the underlying feelings she had about Can, and he heard her say that she wanted him to stay, not to leave her again, and that she wanted to take all his burdens away from him...
