All that he missed...

The only place Can Divit missed was being next to Sanem. She was all that he missed. He was a man of the big and wide world, but he fell in love with the home bird. She was everything he was not looking for in a woman. And she was everything more.

Their love took him aback. Made him think, made him yearn. And it made him curious. He liked women he could read like an open book. But he could never read Sanem. He liked women with class. She held her head high in a class of her own. He liked poised and controlled women. She would never ever control that fire she held within. She did not appologize, she just barged on forward without any brakes. And for that he loved her, and for so much more...

The day he last layed his eyes upon his boat, he said his goodbye to it. The boat took him on a journey not only of the seas, but of himself too. He was a new man now. And so much more like himself he could hardly describe it. Having Sanem back in his life felt like the biggest achievement of all. But he feared she was not completely back in his life.

The day she kissed him, gave him all he needed. That kiss, unexpected and so full of love, made him realize that she truly still loved him, but she was afraid. Afraid just as he was. When she bought his boat back, she not only showed she cared for him deeply. She also cared for who he was deep inside. She really understood his past sorrows and pains. The freedom she gave him meant that she gave him the freedom to stay. He was scared to accept it in front of his family. He was too shy, perhaps for the first time in his life, to admit to her the real reason he sold it. He sold the boat to be close to her, and not because they needed the money. He needed to sell it because he understood that the freedom of love meant he was now free to stay. And for a nomad, a man with no true place of his own, that was the most powerful thought in his heart.

So he waited until the daylight had gone, for it somehow was easier for them to speak freely in the darkess of the night and in the light of the stars. He smiled and remembered that now, how they always let their true feelings of their hearts speak at night. On the hammock, in the forest, or in the elevator no less... They let their hearts and their love speak, and he did so now too. He sat beside her and was no longer afraid. He accepted the offer, with so much love inside. He told her he loved her, and she felt the same way.  The sweetest embrace... The longed for passionate kiss... It all became so much easier, with their hearts joined as one.

And in that moment, they both understood, that they held each other, and they always would. He loved her, that he understood. He let his love guide him, for he found his safe harbor. Come what may, he would not let her go. And the light in her eyes told him she felt the same way too...
