True love above all...

Aziz stood in the place he had not ever thought he could ever have stood. Face to face with Mihriban. Letting her go. The boundaries he set for tears in his eyes were no match for the pain in his heart. The tears spilled, relentlessly falling on his palms. The palms that held Mihriban's palms for the very last time...

It was strange for his heart to come to terms with the  thought of facing a future in which she no longer played a part in. He never thought he would bring himself to let go of a woman whose love meant more to him than any other woman's. She was his first love. And his only love. A true love which never left his heart. They met, and his world changed. And changed for the better. She brought him peace, she brought him the the kind of love a man yearned for. The unconditional one. It had been her love that kept him going even when she no longer held his hand. Life had delt them difficult cards to play. Though life merged their decks of cards into one, it had soon scattered those cards so far apart that they were unable to come back to each other until much later in life.

The moment they laid eyes on each other that magically bright moment in Sanem's garden was one of the most cherished moments for Aziz in his life. So unexpected. So wished for with his whole heart. The woman whose sight he yearned for in the years that had passed stood right before hims. With the same yearning heart to match his. Their love never faded. It never went away. He fell more deeper in love with her now. He understood how much true love mattered in life. How much loosing it hurt. How big of a void it left in one's heart. So he promissed himself he would not let her go this time around. He would give their love all that he got.

But as painful as it felt, he realized he was forced to break that promise he made to himself. He had to let her go, he had to leave Mihriban behind. Something had changed in her from the woman that stayed in his heart. Something that his heart could not accept. Could not embrace it if he were to be honest with himself.  For he began to see glimpses of Hüma in Mihriban's actions. She no longer appeared as only kind and only loving. And that his heart could no longer overlook.

Saying goodbye to Mihriban hurt twofold. First, because he was letting her go. And second, because he was letting her go for the second time -  this time for the last time. Realizing that broke his heart by a half. He knew he was hurting her too. She begged him to reconsider. Begged him to stay. But his soul knew that they would not change. He would never asked her to, and she would not ask him to change either.

So they said their goodbyes. And he let her hand go. The pain of this simple geature hurt more than he would have ever imagined. Each step his feet set forth away from Mihriban brought on a new wave after wave of a crushing despair. He told himself not to turn around, because he wanted to remeber her with love in her eyes rather than with eyes filled with tears placed there by him. But he could not leave without looking at her this one very last time. He turned around, for himself as much as for her. They still loved each other, there was no doubt about it. But he felt that his love was no longer strong enough to fight for their love. It was this thought that made him think of Can, and he begged all virtues he had ever known to make Can's and Sanem's love this much more stronger forevermore...
