Where Sanem trusted her heart and listened to that inner voice full of confidence and she surrendered to her love for Can completely, Leyla kept a cautious pulse on her hidden secret love for Emre. Leyla was fully aware of just how much Can meant to Sanem. She watched them fall in love and saw how much that love changed Sanem. She was baffled by their relationship, that much was true. She could not comprehend how someone like Can Divit, a world class photographer, one of the most eligible bachelors, son of the owner of the Fikri Harika could fall for her sister. Leyla watched from a front row seat when Sanem and Can went through troubled times. She watched Sanem's heart get broken because of her mistskes, and watched Can's heartfelt sorrow as well. She understood that he truly loved Sanem. But she also saw that on some level he was afraid of that love. He was afraid of how much Sanem meant to him. He was afraid to trust her again...

To see Can Divit forgive Sanem and forgive Emre brought on a new level of affection for Leyla. She knew Can. From reputation and from his brief work stints at the agency. The fact that he found it in his heart to forgive them impressed Leyla. Her hidden love for Emre grew stronger because she too realized he deserved a second chance. She loved Emre for as long as she could remember. Sanem and Can's love gave her hope that someday Emre could look at her the way Can looks at Sanem. And because wishes and hopes come true if one believes in them with their whole heart, Emre came to Leyla and professed his love. Their relationship may have been a turbulent one in the beginning, but the fact that Emre proposed to her and that he meant it cause her heart to spin cartwheels in her chest. Just as she witnessed Sanem falling in love with Can, she witnessed her falling apart when he left. She never fully accepted the fact that he could have turned into sucha a bad character, not after they grew to be friends and he was her brother-in-law. But the fact that her sisted fell completely apart made her fall apart a bit too. She remembered how little she knew of her sister before her work at the agency. Celebrating a newfound company for Sanem and all of their friends was a new stepping stone. Not just for their work, but for Sanem and Can too. Leyla told Can that it was the first time she saw Sanem happy in over a year. It brought Can pain but it also brought him hope. Leyla asked Can if he was leaving again. His immediate NO gave her hope too. If he did not notice how much of Sanem's light was linked with his love, she herself knew it. So she asked him again. She asked him if the world fell apart would he stay by her still? Both of his replies gave her all the affirmation she needed. His love for Sanem lived in him still. And now she saw something brand new. She saw the light in his eyes. And that light shone with Samem's name in it.

She wondered if she never saw it before? Or did this light burst into his heart and eyes when he returned and realized they loved each other more now than ever? She could not tell Sanem how to live her life, but she hoped that that light she saw in both of them found a way to shine on forever until the end of days...
