How does one deal with the distance between two hearts that once loved with a love so great that it spilled out of the heart and could be felt far beyond the edge of all stars? The pain Sanem held within for the past year felt unimaginable. The only strength she ever found in the effort to go forward each day was in reliving each beautiful moment she shared with Can. To her soul, it was a constant reminder of the love they have lost. But to her heart it was the only way of survival...
Sanem was a dreamer, a sensitive soul that never fit in with the outside world. The moment she met Can, she found her safe harbor. To all those who knew them, they seemed like an uncompatible a pair on every possible level. Different backgrounds, different status, different family values. But what everyone failed to realize is that Can needed Sanem as much as she needed him. What's more, the stars of the skies had recognized that their souls shone with the same light, that their hearts beat with the same rhytm. That is why noone ever got close to either one of them. For noone before could match the perfect brightness of the light of love in their hearts until the moment they met...
Sanem fell for Can. And she fell for the man, not his status. She fell for the strength of his feelings and the delicate kindness of his eyes that only she could see. And Can understood this far earlier than she did. Where Sanem fought a battlen within between her Albatross and her beloved Can, Can realized she was the one for his heart and never looked back.
Once their love had been lost, Sanem could barely hold on to any sense of reality. Her loved ones dealt with the struggles of bringing her back to reality, but she dealt with the undescribable struggle between the dream of a love that once existed and the crushing reality of no longer being held in Can's arms.
When Can had returned, as much as it brought her pain, it brought her peace. A peace she forgot ever existed. Every moment they shared filled up an empty part of her heart that was caused by the void of his absence. Though she made it seem on the outside that she was bothered by his presence each time he came around, it was him dissapearing from her sight each time he left that trully bothered her. Ayhan was gone, and she could not reveal her pains to anyone like she was able to do so with Ayhan. She broke her silence and spoke with Deniz. And she finally admitted to herself, and finally out loud to Deniz that she still felt love for Can. That he still mattered to her more and beyond all the pain she had felt. Her love for Can in her eyes was her secret, but Can had no problem whatsoever in capturing all of that love in his photos...
So she decided to face Can with her love. But what had occurred shook her on a complete other level. She could not believe it when Yigit confessed his feelings for her. All she could feel was anger. Not as much at Yigit, and not as much at Can, but the anger she felt was all at herselft. For what Yigit had done was exactly what Can said he would have done, and she was too blind to have recognized it sooner. What if Can was right about Yigit from the beginning? What if she had chosen to believe Can above Yigit even before she left her work at the agency? Would they have still been in love? Would the agency still have existed in they way that it did? Would Can had not left? And one question burned in her heart and screamed in her soul above all others... Would they have been married now had she believed in Can and his love? Would they have been united in marriage and the unreakable bond that they once felt for each other and hoped for the future?
As Sanem looked at Can from a mere few feet away, she felt the distance between their two hearts had seemed too far to cross back again. The despair of that pain mixed with the love she would always feel for him. She loved him, she always would. All of her heart, even the broken pieces of her broken soul struggling to survive were filled by Can, and only him. She would never belong to any other for she would always and only belong to Can.
The tears that fell from her eyes were a bittersweet release from deep within her heart, for the brim of her heart could no longer hold the emotions of lost hope she now felt. She would need to go on, move forward without him in her life. And her only thin thread of hope still left in her heart hoped that somewhere in his heart Can would hold on to a piece of the love they once felt for each other...
