Deren counted only on herself for all of her life. She understood that to exceed her plans in life she would need to work hard. And she based her life on one main principle. Dream big, until that dream comes true. And then dream bigger...

She realized from a very young age that she would have to fight for her right in the corporate world if she wanted to be a leader and manager, not just an employee. The ambition in her heart and faith in herself proved her right, and she excelled to the very top of the Divit agency since the first day she started. She would always remember her first day there, the day she was hired by Aziz Bey. She did it in full Deren style and flare. She marched up to Aziz Bey, stood her ground and announced to him that she was the best thing that would happen to the agency, and that he would be a fool to let this opportunity pass him by. She was not surprised at all when Aziz Bey, completely enchanted by her confidence, hired her on the spot.

She worked hard, and made sure that all that she had done for the agency was of utmost top level, and she took pride in her work. With every twist and turn awaiting the agency, she did all that was in her power to ensure the agency would persevere. And she gave the agency all of her heart, not wasting any time on finding someone to share her life with.

Deren had to admit that sometimes she felt lonely. Especially when Can found Sanem and Emre chose to spend his life with Leyla. At one point in time she had hoped for more than an occassional stare or an innocent smile from Metin. However that was not to be. She had also thought of Yigit, yet he was so focussed on Sanem and her writing abilities that she realized her time would be better spent on concentrating on work rather than on some poor excuse of a man infatuated with a dream of someone he could never have...

As the best things in life come as an unexpected gift and luck of the stars, Deren found herself in the strong and capable arms lifting her up from muddy road she got stuck in. The sheer disbelief in what had just occurred frightened her. But not because she was scared. It had frightened her because for the first time in her life a man surprised her enough to make her heart stop, and he took her breath away. She lost all words in her head. Never one to babble, she had to admit that for the first time she realized how Sanem had felt whenever Can was around in the beginning of their relationship. And this thought scared her even more. Not knowing who he was, she requested of the man to put her down. Only to ask him to pick her up again a moment later. And from that moment on she realized she could not help but to admire the sheer strenght in her stranger companion's arms.

Thankful to her lucky stars, she found out that the stranger companion proved to be Sanem's friend Bulut. And this meant she would see him more and more often. As much as she admired his strength, his lack of sense of fashion and complete disregard for manners infurated her. And what appalled her the most was that he made it clear to her that he took no orders from her, and it was actually him that seemed to have no problem ordering her around. That complete sense of opposition to everything Deren stood for made her feel exasperated. And it made her think of him more and more...

The fact that she could not figure him out made her wonder what it was about him that made him more appealing to her. And it made her feel insecure for the first time in her life. Knowing she would have to face him each day made her head spin, which was also a new concept to her. Finding the courage to exchange a few words proved to be as challenging as climbing Mt. Everest - in her favorite heels.

The day they spent in the forest looking for Caner made Deren realize that Bulut had a caring side as well. The day they went to confront the woman who sold Sanem's creams as her own for double the price made Deren realize that Bulut also had a sense of righteousness and would do anything for those he cared about. This proved to be accurate when she asked for his help in convincing Sanem to patent her creams and perfumes. Though he was reluctant at first, Bulut let himself be convinced that Deren was right. What surprised Deren then and there was how in a matter of seconds he went from a confindent and stubborn man to a caring one who seemed to care about the way she was trying to protect Sanem and her creations. And this small victory gave Deren more satisfaction than she would have revealed.

Together with Bulut they convinced Sanem to work on creating a brand and patent that would save her work from being exploited. And in a process of doing so, Deren found herself closer than ever to the man who just may be the one to steal her heart away...
