"Are you fucking kidding me?" Sophie covering Tom's ears after i spat my anger out. "No for real, are you FUCKING KIDDING ME." Billie's arm around my waist also didn't calm me down, just seeing the big grin on the curly-haired girl didn't improve the situation.
"Who do you even think you are?" I stepped forward to her and looked deep into her eyes, trying to be as intimidating as i could be to make sure i wasn't playing with her.
"I'm Tom's babysitter?" the sound of my hand smacking Charlie's cheek filled the room. Billie immediately pulling me away from her after you could see the imprint of my hand turning red on her cheek, her face flustered by what just happened. What is wrong with these exes?
"Calm down, babe we don't need this." I tried to get out of Billie's grip but she was too strong, guiding me outside to the backyard. "Easy now princess, you're not like this." I looked into Billie's eyes who seemed hurt, disappointed. Shrugging my shoulders, i looked away from her and let out a long deep sigh.
"You don't know what it's like to get abused... I felt like a hostage with her." She started to stroke my arm, listening to my story. "I honestly wish she was dead."
"Wishing someone is dead, is cruel. But you could at least wish, she'd be like idk... In the hospital maybe?" I laughed, giving Billie a little punch on her shoulder. "Bil, that's even worse." She seemed relaxed once i started to laugh and chuckled, giving me a wink at the same time. "Well see, you're happy again.."
"Do you want to leave?" She added, askingly furrowing her eyebrows.
"It's fine, i guess." I laid my arms around Billie's neck, staring at her lips before i connected them with mine. Closing my eyes the minute i could feel butterflies flying around in my stomach, she had that effect on me you know. I'd let out a soft moan once she squeezed my ass gently. "Come babe." I braided her fingers through mine, making our way inside.
Walking in on the scene of Charlie sitting at the kitchen counter with a bag full of frozen peas on her cheek. Right, what she fucking deserves.
"I don't think we should like to stay here, maybe we could grab a cup of coffee at the boulevard." I agreed with Sophie and looked at Tom for one last time, seeming eagerly frightened by what just happened. I kneeled and pulled my arms out to him, waiting for him to answer. " I'm sorry little guy." I held him close once he walked into my arms, laughing at his soft voice saying. "Mom always tells me, i can't punch people. You shouldn't do that too auntie." I gently massaged the back of his scalp while i held him close, taking in his words, nodding my head once i faced him. "Sorry, will you forgive me?"
I pouted my bottom lip at him, trying to give him the biggest puppy eyes he'd ever seen. "Okay." Running away to play with his lego again. "Alright let's go." We left the house, giving Charlie a look i could easily kill her. As we sat down in the car, with Sophie on the backseat i turned on the radio. The voice of Lana del Rey filling up the car, as we drove to the boulevard. I didn't say anything to Sophie the whole car ride.
Maybe because i felt too damn disappointed, like she knew i dated Charlie. And she knew how toxic it was the minute we left Coachella, she walked in on us when Charlie did her thing. Seeing the scared look on her face, scarred her. Her words, not mine. But now hiring her as the babysitter of Tom, was some backstabbing bullshit.
"Okay, we here." Billie's voice breaking up the silence, made me jump out of my seat. Smoothing my blouse from the folds, to look at least a bit presentable if we'd walk into someone familiar. "That's a nice spot tho." I pointed at the little cafe, where i once met up with Zoe when i tried to get Billie back. I was such a bitch back then..
We walked over there, Billie following us trying to made us talk to each other. It didn't work, feeling too betrayed. As we sit down on the spot in front of the mirror, i turned my head away from Sophie. "Lana, it's not what you think it is. I promise."
"You know what happened to us, and you didn't tell me about it. I didn't know anything Soph.." Rolling my eyes after what she just said, i could feel Billie squeeze my thigh underneath the table.
"You know what it was, she's just easy. Whenever i call her, she's there. And it doesn't even like cost too much."
Lame excuse.
"Soph, i think you're missing the point here." I tried not to laugh when Billie stood up for me. "I bet Lana doesn't even care about her being your babysitter, but you should've told her once you knew we were coming to visit you."
Preach this fucking bitch, yas.
I laid my hand on Billie's upper leg and squeezed it, causing her to flush red when i did. Sophie sighed out loud, and nodded while holding her hands up. "Okay, that's true. I'm the one to blame, I'm sorry."
"I'll get over it." I shrugged it off, so we could have a good time drinking coffee. Seeing Sophie is pretty rare because of her being a busy mom, now that she doesn't work at the restaurant anymore she's fully focusing on her son and her life at home. I, of course, miss the time where we would go out, dance the night away. But life makes crazy turns, and that's something for in the books.

"I think it's time for us to arrange that we're buying the farm." I turned myself to Billie, staring at her while we're driving home.
"Do we?" She nodded, me grabbing for her hand when she agreed. "Babe, that's sooo cute. I'm so hyped." We laughed at the same time after my comment and then it became silent, peacefully. Probably thinking about our future.
"But we need Wil-"
"Wilbert will be fine." She chuckled at my answer stroking my hand with her thumb. "We'll like to buy you guys a studio, and like i don't know. Just make it our home Bill." I tried so hard not to show her my shyness, she noticed and stopped the car at the gas station we drove by.
"Mamas, I'm scared too." I smiled at her, putting my hands on her cheeks, stroking it softly after i put a stroke of hair behind her ear.
"I know, but i don't ever want to leave you again... That shit hurts." Getting interrupted by Billie's lips slamming on mine, i gave in. Putting my hands around her neck, trying to get her as close to me as was possible in this car. I opened up my mouth to let her tongue slide in, playing our familiar game of dominance while i closed my eyes.
Frames of memories came back to me while we were kissing. The day we met at Coachella, and how our relationship developed after that. It was a rocky relationship, with high ups and deep lows. But we were so happy. We are happy, i wanna be happy with her. I wanna grow old with her, have our own home, Wilbert, some goats...
Kids maybe someday?
"Man, I'm so marrying you." I stared into her eyes and furrowed my eyebrows at her comment. "Eilish, i thought you didn't want to get married huh?"
She let out a loud laugh, getting back into her seat. Reversing the car so we could finally continue our drive home.
"You changed my mind."
