'Estelle, I know you're tired after last night but we really need to get up.' Joe says softly. I groan but drag myself out of bed as he is right. It's a busy day ahead of us. Well, more than a day, technically speaking. I throw on the last outfit in the wardrobe, which is just a plain white t-shirt and black leggings, nothing special. I clean my teeth before I brush my hair. I shove the final things in my suitcase and zip it up. I lie on the bed one last time before taking the sheets off. Damn, time has flown so quickly.
I check the clock. 'Joe, we need to go!' I shout. The stuff is all packed in a van which is waiting for us. 'Okay!' Joe replies, rushing through to find his shoes. I pull on my trainers quickly and lock the door. I need to hand my keys over, too. Joe puts an arm around me and plants a kiss on my forehead as we leave the building. I can't believe we are doing this. We climb into the car and I take one last look at the building. I really will miss it here. It's another four hours until we arrive at the airport. I take a few suitcases and begin wheeling them to the airport entrance.
'So we are in the waiting room waiting for our flight to be called. Oh! How long is that?' I speak to the camera and then to Joe. 'Um, an hour and twenty three minutes.' He replies.
'Right. So it's about an hour and twenty minutes until we are supposed to be getting on the plane and I'm really excited but at the same time I am so nervous. I'm looking forward to the flight but at the same time I'm not. It's going to be a long day. I think we'll get some food and then wander for a little bit.' I smile into the camera before I stop recording.Me and Joe get some food, just a Burger King. I then end up buying a new DKNY perfume because it smells so good. I listen out for our gate being called. Joe checks his watch, saying we have six minutes, so we head back to the waiting room. I watch as the planes pull away and then gain speed, flying off into the distance. Our gate is called so me and Joe stand and begin our walk to the gate to board. Gate twelve. I find my passport and boarding ticket in my bag quickly and hand it to the lady. She rips a bit off the ticket and hands me my passport back, smiling. Joe squeezes my hand as we walk through the plane to our seats.
So we sit through the safety thing that every flight has to do and then we're pretty much ready to take off. I look out of the window, the spring morning sunny and bright. I smile to myself as I vlog taking off. I feel that popping sensation in my ears and an eruption of butterflies in my stomach. It's another twenty minutes until we can take our seat belts off and use electronic devices. Joe gets down both of our carry-ons and hands me mine. I thank him and find my earphones and phone. I put one earphone in so I can still talk to Joe. I don't know what to talk about, I'm almost too excited to talk.
By the time we are four hours into the twenty hour long flight, me and Joe have laughed so much I don't know how we haven't wet ourselves. The main topic of conversation being weird dreams and dream lands we can think of. Mine is a candy world with cotton candy clouds and pink lemonade rivers. Pineapple juice fountains and Victoria sponge trampolines. Little gingerbread men who dance around and talk fluent English, Italian and Spanish. And you know those little jelly fish that you get? Not the actual species jellyfish, I'm talking about the ones which you can get at the pick n mix stand and they taste really yummy? Well yeah, they swim in the pink lemonade rivers. There is also a shortbread mountain which has a volcano at the top and it erupts melted chocolate. All this talk about food is making me hungry. Joe is in the middle of telling me about a random dreamland he's come up with and by the end, I'm crying with laughter.
So I vlog the fact I have tears streaming down my face at how funny the conversation is so far. We've been on this topic for over an hour, and Joe is visualising a cyber fantasy with a load of cruel deaths and useless meanings. I don't understand boys one bit. However, this conversation is funny. The conversation escalates a little when we begin to imagine strawberry, lime and blackcurrant jelly monkeys riding around on giraffes that are internally made of coconuts and silicone dolphins swim in the sea. We imagine this set on the moon so there is very little gravity and everything is floating around. I have to get Joe to stop me laughing because I'm scared I'll have to jump out of the plane because everyone is getting so annoyed with me.
Eventually it begins to get quite dark after what seems like an eternity on the plane. I draw the little shutter on the plane window and rest my head on Joe's shoulder, shutting my eyes. I curl up into a little ball on the seat, not caring that I'm squished and can hardly breathe. It's comfortable otherwise. It's half an hour before I choose to put my earphones in and listen to some music to help me sleep. I'm so excited for moving but I really want to get some sleep because I'll be so moody and so tired I probably will fall asleep on the floor. 'Night. Love you.' I whisper to Joe. 'Love you too.' He whispers back. I smile and put my earphones in, listening to Work by Iggy Azalea. It's not too long before I fall asleep.
'Babe, wake up.' I wake to someone shaking me. My eyes flutter open sleepily and I stretch out, sighing. 'It's an hour or so until we land.' Joe informs me. I nod and pull the shutter up, seeing some land which I'm assuming is Australia. 'Did you get any sleep?' I ask, turning to Joe. He looks down at his hands. I know he doesn't really sleep on planes, but twenty hours is forever to be awake. 'Joe!' I gasp. 'What? I just couldn't.' He says matter of factly. I sigh and nod. I'm not angry, of course not, but he'll be so tired when we get to the house. I just keep my music on as I talk to Joe for another twenty minutes and then I have to turn my phone off as we begin to descend.
'We've arrived! I'm really excited to get to the house and stuff but at the moment we need to find our luggage.' I smile at the camera as me and Joe make our way to the baggage claim. It takes a while but we finally get all of our stuff. The moving van is picking up some stuff (I think) and Joe is getting a taxi to the place our car is and then he's coming to pick me up. I wait outside the airport for Joe with our bags. I decide to vlog a little.
'So me and Joe have just landed in Townsville and Joe has gone to get our car before picking me up. We probably won't vlog unboxing because that's pretty boring, really. We just take the stuff out of the boxes and move stuff around the rooms, that's it. I'm really excited for this whole thing and I start my job in about a month which will be awesome. I may not vlog as much then because I will be really busy with work and as the year goes on I'll be busy with the kids. I think I've told y'all I'm having triplets already, haven't I? So yeah, me and Joe are going to be getting busier and busier as the year goes on so I am sorry if there is a lack of vlogs on my channel.' I look around the airport car park for a minute. 'Joe should be here soon so I'm going to wait for him in the nice warm sun now.' I smile and end the vlog clip. I'll vlog a little in the car before we get to the house and then maybe when we've unpacked a few things if I can be bothered.
It's another twenty minutes until Joe pulls up in the large black car. He gets out and starts putting the stuff into the car. 'Just get in, babe. I'll do this.'
'Are you sure? I could help.' I ask Joe. He nods and picks up a couple of the suitcases whilst I climb into the car. It's really nice. The inside is midnight blue and it smells brand new. I love the smell of brand new cars. Joe joins me in the car and together we begin our drive to the house. I vlog a tiny amount of the car journey, which seems like forever. It's mainly just explaining a few things about the moving and then the rest is just Joe and me messing on. We eventually arrive at the house and it's even prettier than I remember. Joe insists I don't lift any boxes into the house. He helps the moving guys with the boxes whilst I take a walk.I walk down by the beach, just in front of the housing estate me and Joe now live on. The sand is such a pristine white compared to the almost beige colour we have back home. The water is bluer and you can actually surf around here. The sky has hardly any clouds covering the sunlit day. It really is gorgeous. I must be gone for about an hour or so when Joe rings me. 'Hi, where are you?'
'I'm on my way back. I went for a walk down the beach.'
'Oh right. Well, when you get back we can start unpacking!' Joe exclaims.I arrive back at the house and let myself in to see Joe standing in the middle of the floor, surrounded by a load of boxes. I laugh when I see him and step around the boxes to reach him. He puts an arm around me and pecks me on the lips quickly. 'Shall we?'
'We shall.' I reply, giggling. We begin to unload a few random boxes, the first one I unload being a one filled with photographs. I decide on putting them in the attic or garage a little later. All of a sudden, I begin to feel something like kicking in my stomach. I gasp and look towards Joe. 'What?' He looks worried. I just smile.
'They're kicking.'
