There was a great clattering and banging all around the foursome, Dumbledore had obviously just dismissed the school, because everyone was standing up ready to leave the Hall. Hermione jumped up, looking flustered. "Ron, we're supposed to show the first years where to go!" "Oh yeah," Ron, who had obviously forgotten, said. "Hey, hey you lot! Midgets!" "Ron!" "Well, they are, they're twitchy..." "I know, but you can't call them midgets... First years!" Hermione called commandingly along the table. "This way, please!" Mikayla watched as the first years Gryffindors walked shyly up the gap between the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff tables, all of them trying hard not to lead the group. Mikayla couldn't believe that she had been that young- it seems like ages ago that she was being led up to Gryffindor Tower for the first time by Percy.

"Come on, Mikayla." Harry said suddenly, nudging her shoulder, Mikayla followed the black-haired out of the Great Hall, he seemed very put out. Mikayla took notice that everyone they passed, would turn to the person next to them and begin whispering. Mikayla began sending glare at those she made eye contact with. They hurried up the marble staircase and took a couple of concealed shortcuts, leaving most of the crowds behind them. It was very quiet as they walked, so Mikayla tried to think of something to cheer Harry up with. "Those first years are pretty small, yeah?" she stated conversationally. It was quiet for a few seconds before Harry let out a quiet snort. "About as tall as you, I think." He flashed her a smirk. "Harry!" she gasped dramatically, slapping his arm playfully. "How dare you?" "Just telling the truth."

They finally reached the end of the corridor to the Gryffindor common room, coming to a halt in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady before pausing, they had forgotten to get the password. "Um..." Mikayla stared up at the Fat Lady, who smoothed the folds of her pink satin dress and looked sternly back at them. "No password, no entrance." She said loftily. "Harry, Mikayla, I know it!" A familiar voice of Neville panted from behind them. Both of them turned to see him jogging toward them. "Guess what it is? I'm actually going to be able to remember it for once-" He waved the stunted little cactus he had shown us on the train. "Mimbulus Mimbletonia!" "Correct," The Fat Lady said and her portrait swung open toward them like a door, revealing a circular hole in the wall behind, through which Harry, Neville, and Mikayla now climbed. The Gryffindor common room looked as welcoming as ever, a cozy circular tower room full of dilapidated squashy armchairs and rickety old tables. A fire was crackling merrily in the grate and a few people were warming their hands. Harry went to speak with the twins whilst Mikayla followed Neville to an empty seat. "I never asked you how your summer was Neville." Mikayla smiled, Neville peaked up, "It was great thanks to you." Mikayla furrowed her eyebrows confused at the boys statement. "Gran was ecstatic with my report card this year. Thanks to you I've actually been doing alright in classes." Mikayla smiled proudly at her achievements with Neville, it took almost two years but there's great results.

Mikayla spotted Harry walking towards the dorms, she notices the stares and whispers of the common room, her breath hitches as she prepares for what's about to go down. "Dean. Seamus, good holiday?" Harry questions once he stops his journey. Dean smiles, "Alright, better than Seamus' anyway." Seamus drops the newspaper he was reading and stands up walking towards Harry. "My Mam didn't want me to come back this year." Seamus spoke angrily, Harry asks him why not in a dry sounding voice. "Let me see, eh, because of you. The Daily Prophet has been saying a lot of things about you Harry and about Dumbledore as well." "And what? your mum believes them?" Harry asks, "Well nobody was there the night Cedric died." Seamus states, Mikayla takes a shaky breath, Neville places his hand on her shoulder for some comfort, "Well I guess you should read the prophet like your stupid mother, it'll tell you everything you need to know." Harry spat, "Don't you dare talk about my mother like that." Seamus' voice raises. "I'll have a go at anyone that calls me a liar." Ron arrives asking what is going on, "He's mad is what's going on. Do you believe the rubbish that he's coming out about You-Know-Who." Ron takes his place beside Harry, "Yeah, I do. Has anyone else got a problem with Harry?" Ron questioned his room, everyone shook there heads no, Ron made eye contact with Mikayla who had tears brimming in her eyes. Harry begins to walk upstairs whilst Ron continues to look at her, she nodded at him to follow Harry. "I was there the night Cedric died, he was murdered five feet away from me." Mikayla stood up making her way towards the stairs for the dormitories, "I almost died myself." Mikayla spoke sadly spinning around to face Seamus. "But I'm glad you can forget." she spoke softly emphasising the 'you' in her sentence, the air seemed to get tighter in the common room as a single tear rolled down her cheek, "Stop being so dramatic." Seamus spat, Mikayla flinched slightly, "You know what! Harry and I saw Voldemort coming back, Harry fought him and saved my life! If you want to believe the bloody fucking daily prophet that's on you. But keep your bullshit to yourself, Harry and I don't want to hear it." Mikayla yelled before she turned and made her way up to her dorm.

Moments later, whilst Mikayla was unpacking her trunk, "Seamus was well out of order you know." Parvati spoke softly, Mikayla spun around her eyes red and puffy from crying. "Awe M, come here." Lavender frowned opening her arms welcoming a hug, Mikayla slowly made her way over to the girls excepting a group hug, after a few seconds she broke it up. Hermione arrives out of breath, "I'm here!" She yells holding her side as she's out of breath, "Neville filled me in. How are you feeling?" Mikayla just shrugged before giving Hermione a hug, who gladly takes it and pats Mikayla's head. "Boys are the worst." Mikayla groans, "Agreed." Lavender, Parvati and Hermione chorus, making them all laugh lightly and Mikayla detangles herself from Hermione. The girls all got into their pyjamas, Fay finally joined the room and they all spent an hour talking about their summers. "YOU TWO KISSED!" Lavender yells in disbelief after Parvati told her what happened at Avery's birthday, Mikayla and Hermione laugh before nodding in response. "How was it?" Fay questioned, Mikayla and Hermione nodded looking straight at Parvati, "One described it as.." Hermione began, "Hot." The three girls laugh together.
