Sixth Year Supplies

It's the third of August, the group received their Hogwarts letters two days ago and Molly planned a trip to Diagon Alley for the next day the girls weren't working. "I can't believe we're sixth years!" Avery exclaims as she plops down on Hermione's bed as the others get dressed. "Not me." Ginny reminds Avery, sometimes the girls forget that Ginny is younger than them. "We'll help you with your O.W.Ls as much as we can." Hermione promises the youngest Weasley, "thanks girls." They all smile as they pull on their jumpers because it's quite cold lately.

"Step up, step up!" The twins chime from the staircase as the group enter their shop, "we got fainting fancies," Fred promotes, "nosebleed nougats." George adds, "And just in for time for school-" George finishes Fred's sentence, "Puking Pastilles!" The girls all made their way to the WonderWitch section, Ginny and Hermione were looking at the love potion display whilst Mikayla and Avery explained how they work. "Hello, ladies." The twins chime as they arrive at our side, "love potions, eh?" George questions the girls as Fred gives Mikayla a sweet kiss hello, "yeah. They really do work. Then again the way we heard you, sis... You're doing just fine on your own." Fred states causing Mikayla elbow him shaking her head as Ginny asks him what he means. "Are you not currently dating Dean Thomas?" George asks her, "Mikayla! You told them?" Ginny whined as the blonde shook her head no, "I did, it was by accident." Avery confesses, letting Mikayla off the hook, "anyways, it's none of your business." Ginny told the boys, putting down the love potion and walking away.

Hermione hesitates and Mikayla follows her eye line to see a smug looking Cormac McLaggen staring at Hermione. "Not him Hermione, please anyone but him." Mikayla whispers as Hermione quickly puts the love potion down, "don't worry M, I know he's a pig." Mikayla and Avery laugh at Hermione's conclusion. "Av!" The three girls spin around to see Daphne Greengrass making her way over to them with Tracey Davis in her tow. Avery hugs her friends hello, "Black, Granger, it's good to see you again." Tracey nods at the two Gryffindor girls. "Mind if we steal her for a while?" Daphne questions, Mikayla and Hermione tell them to go ahead, they wave goodbye to Avery who is talking animately to her friends. "Let's go find Ron and Harry." Hermione plans, Mikayla follows the bushy-haired girl into the crowd.

"How much for this?" Ron asks the twins as they make their way back up the stairs, "five galleons," the twins response dryly, "how much for me?" Ron questions and the twins simply repeat themselves, "Ron, pick it what you want it's on the house." Mikayla tells him, loud enough so that the twins could hear her. "Weasleys get their first shop free." Ron hugs Mikayla as he goes back to gazing the shop as Mikayla told the twins that she'll cover the costs. "You're too nice for your own good." George wiggles his finger in Mikayla's face, she catches it and shakes it, "and you are too stubborn for yours." Fred snickers, trying to stop himself from laughing as George stuck his tongue out at the blonde.

"Come on, let's go!" Ron chimes once he has a bag fully of Weasley products, he puts the bag into Mikayla's blue bag, because he didn't want to carry it. The foursome walk out of the shop and see the barren appearance of Diagon Alley, "how are Fred and George doing it? Half the alley's closed down." Hermione points out after she questions, "Fred reckons people need a laugh these days." Mikayla informed her, "I reckon he's right." Harry speaks up as the ground wander further down the street. "Oh, no. Everyone got their wands from Ollivanders." The foursome decided to head into the store as Mikayla explains that a group of Death Eaters attacked the store and took Ollivander hostage. "How do you know?" Ron questions the blonde, "it was the same day the bridge happened, they did it in broad daylight, a bunch of witnesses. It was in the Prophet."

The shop was pitch black, there was sounds of birds flapping around inside and the place was destroyed. "Harry?" Ron's voice sound, the others make their way over to the window where Ron was looking out. "Is it me or do Draco and Mummy look like two people who don't want to be followed?" Ron questions, they all agree to go follow them, if Draco and Narcissa were acting so suspicious, it's probably to do with Voldemort, especially since they were heading down Knockturn Alley. The group make their way down the catacomb like alley, staying far behind Draco, so he wouldn't see them. They passed a few loonies talking to walls, and corners as they watched the mother and son enter Borgin and Burke's.

"This way!" Mikayla whispers in a hiss, pointing to a roof that would allow the to see into Borgin and Burke's. They scale the shabby rooftop, peering through the massive window. They see Draco and a group of Death Eaters in the shop, Draco is examine old dark cabinet, his mother places a kiss on his cheek, just before a Death Eater arrives right in front of the window. A slate slips as the foursome duck out of sight, "we need to get out of her before they leave." Mikayla warns them in a whisper once they see the curtain has been pulled, Harry simply nods looking at the now covered window.

The foursome sneak back into the Fred and George's shop, avoiding a panicked Mrs Weasley using Harry's invisibility cloak. They re-appear in the back room, Harry shoves his cloak into his bag before the foursome walk out to the main shop. "Where have you been!" Mrs Weasley causing the foursome to jump in surprise, "we were in the back room, Harry and Hermione were explaining the Muggle Magic tricks to us." Ron spoke up instantly with our cover story, "I didn't see you there when I checked." Fred and George appear at the foursome's sides, "Mum, they just walked out of the room." Fred begins, "and we didn't see them walk in which means.." Mikayla smiles at Mrs Weasley, "we've been there the whole time." Mrs Weasley nods, knowing there's no way she can argue the points they made. "Oh alright, we'll be heading home in five minutes." The foursome nod their heads watching Mrs Weasley walk away to go get Ginny and Avery.

"So where did you sneak off to?" Fred questions the foursome, "we were following Malfoy, he was acting suspicious, he went into Borgin and Burke's." Hermione informed them without hesitation, knowing that the twins could come up with a way to inform the order without getting the foursome in trouble. "He was examine some old cabinet, and there was Death Eaters with him." Mikayla added, causing everyone look at her on how she knew there was Death Eaters there. "I recognised Fenrir Greyback from his wanted posters." Mikayla shrugged, just before seeing Molly waving them over to the door. The foursome said goodbye to the twins, making their way through the crowd.
