Mikayla's 'Exclusive' Interview

"I'm going to miss you, Char." Mikayla pouted as she pulled the second oldest Weasley into a hug. Charlie chuckled lightly telling Mikayla he'll miss her too and thanked her once again for bringing him to Ron Ryan's attention. He ruffles her hair as she lets him go, Avery was the next to hug Charlie. Avery and Charlie had really bonded over the last week and everyone was surprised to hear that Avery plans on being a dragonologist after Hogwarts. Charlie said that he'll put in a good word for her when that time arrives. Next was Ginny, aka Charlie's "favourite sister." Ginny laughed and reminded him that she's his only sister. Charlie sadly chuckles squeezing the youngest redhead harder. "Aw good luck on your project Charlie." Molly pinches his cheeks before giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, Charlie's cheeks blushed and he groaned out of embarrassment. Charlie waved at everyone before disapparating out of the burrow.

Hermione and Mikayla sat down on the couch once Hermione's owl delivered the Daily Prophet, the headline mentioned the disappearance of Ollivander and Florean Fortescue, and the destruction of both of their shops. Mikayla looked around the front page before seeing her name mentioned: Mikayla Black opens up about rumours about her mother and how her past has effected her... page 3. Mikayla drew in a shaky breath as she stared at the advertisement. "You sure you wanna read this?" Hermione questioned the blonde, Mikayla rolled back her shoulders just as Harry, Ron, Ginny and Avery bursted into the room. "What do you two think you're doing?" Ginny questioned the two girls, Mikayla and Hermione shared worried glances, before Hermione cleared her throat, but when she went to speak no words came out.

Mikayla sighed, "I just wanted to make sure the Prophet didn't twist my words." Mikayla spoke truthfully, Hermione sighed in relief that she didn't have to come up with a lie. "Why not tell us?" Ron questioned gesturing to the group Mikayla had purposely left out of the loop, "Hermione only knew because it's her paper." Mikayla tried to justify leaving them out, all of them sat down close to the blonde, "go on, read it." Avery instructed Hermione, who looked at Mikayla for permission, Mikayla simply nodded.

"MIKAYLA BLACK REVEALS HER TRUTH" Hermione read the title, Mikayla saw a side by side picture of Mikayla smiling and her during a full blown PTSD attack. "On Friday the Daily Prophet received a tape containing a voice recording of Mikayla Black answering some questions, we were all dying to hear. Mikayla couldn't take part in a face to face interview due to being under Ministry protection after the known Death Eater, Fergal O'Brien, threatened to kill her, even though Mr O'Brien is locked away in Azkaban, the young girl is still under threat by You-Know-Who's followers. Lucky for us, Mikayla agreed to do an interview, we sent her questions and within hours she sent us a response recording. We are told by an Auror over Mikayla's care that the young girl believed that it would make the interview more personal with a voice recording over writing a letter.

First, we asked Mikayla if her mother, Enya Carra, knew about Mr. O'Brien's abuse, Mikayla denied this, saying her mother had no idea about Fergal's behaviour. "He made me keep it a secret, he made me wear clothes that hide all the cuts and bruises, and he got my old house-elf Peppy to cover up my face with makeup until I learned how to do it myself." Mikayla goes on to explain how he ordered the elf to keep it a secret and that he scared her sister, Avery O'Brien now Avery Carra, to keep it a secret or he would turn on her.

Next we asked Mikayla if she was angry at the Ministry for their false charges on her late father, Sirius Black, "Yes and no." Mikayla answered before taking a deep breath, we can only manage she did this to prepare herself to tell us why. She told us that she understood that at the time the Ministry believed that Sirius was guilty due to his family's involvement with You-Know-Who activities. "I do wish however that they would've held a trial, and let him explain the truth." Mikayla went on to explain how she didn't like how the Ministry blamed Black for the mass breakout of known Death Eaters, such as Bellatrix Lestrange, "just because they didn't want to admit Voldemort had returned."
