Helping Trelawney

Mikayla walked with Harry and Ron to Divination, whispers followed the three friends every corridor they went down. Mikayla told them about her helping out Trelawney with some predictions. "Are you're up for this after your interview came out like half an hour ago?" Harry questioned as they got closer to Trelawney's classroom, "I'll be fine, I just hope no one mentions it since Umbridge will be there." Mikayla whispers in response as she sees the toad walk into the classroom before them. The three friends walk in together, people send Mikayla confused looks as to why she was in Divination especially after she walked out during third year. Professor Trelawney beamed at the sight of Mikayla, almost as if she didn't expect the blonde to actually show up. Mikayla greets the Professor as they wait for all the students to be seated, "maybe introduce me, why I'm here and open the room up to questions before I go around and give some predictions." Mikayla suggested Trelawney agreed that that would be the best approach.

Once everyone was seated, and Umbridge was quietly seated in the corner Trelawney stepped forward. "Good morning class, today we are joined by a very special guest. Miss Mikayla Black. Mikayla is a Aevus seer and I asked her to come today to maybe give some predictions and answer some questions about Aevus Seeing. So if anyone wants to ask her questions, go ahead." The class just stared at Mikayla at first before Lavender raised her hand, Mikayla nodded at her, "What does Aevus Seer mean?" Mikayla smiled at the question, "It means All Time Seer, so I can see both the past and the future." There was a few mumbles before suddenly eight hands were in the air, "Wayne." Mikayla calls out, "Why would you need to see the past?" Mikayla still has a smile on her face, "if there was a crime committed, I would be able to see what happened and who was involved. It can be quite useful." He smiles happy with Mikayla's explanation, she called on Michael next, "Can you choose which you want to see?" Mikayla nods in response, explaining that she just has to focus her mind. Mikayla chose Parvati next to ask a question, "is it genetic?" Mikayla nods again, she then goes on to explain about Alina Carra and what she did as a Seer. "Neville." Mikayla smiles the second she sees the boy raise his hand, "is there something in particular you have to do to trigger it?" "Yes, personally I have to be touching whatever I want to see the past/future of and take a sharp inhale of air."

She called on Dean next, "is it just people or can you see objects pasts and futures as well?" Some people laughed at his question, "no, I can see objects as well. For example, when Harry's name came out of the Goblet of Fire, I was able to see someone had tampered with it with an ancient spell." The laughing stopped and Dean smiled proud of himself, "Hannah?" Hannah smiled as her name was called, "What was the last thing you predicted?" Mikayla's face saddened, she couldn't mention Arthur's accident, or Cedric's death, "I'm sorry Hannah but I'd prefer not to answer that question as it may get me in trouble." This peaked Umbridge's interest, a slimy smirk appeared on her face, "please share Miss Black..." Mikayla gulped asking the Professor to promise not to punish her for her answer, Umbridge promised, although Mikayla knew she wouldn't hold onto that. "It was what happened in the Graveyard when Cedric was murdered..." the class was silent, all of them watching for Umbridge's response, obviously she thought it would be something juicer that would get me expelled or something. Thankfully Trelawney told the class that Mikayla was finished answering questions for now and will make her way around the room to make predictions. "Why don't you start with Mr Finnigan Mikayla." Mikayla nods making her way over to Seamus, "past or future?" "Future." Mikayla smiled, "anything in particular you want to know?" Seamus shakes his head. "Do I have permission to touch your shoulder?" He nodded Mikayla did so, before taking a deep breath.

Seamus was making his way up to Gryffindor Tower when he collided with Susan Bones, the pair apologised to one another, before locking eyes, leaning in and sharing a cute first kiss.

Mikayla whispered in Seamus' ear, because she didn't want to embarrass him. "Why not share with the class Miss Black?" Umbridge asks, "it was quite a personal sight that has no business being presented to the class." Mikayla explained, Seamus thanked her, she move to Neville, "future please Mikayla, how'd I do in my O.W.Ls?" Mikayla smiled nodded asking permission to lay her hand on Neville's shoulder.

Mikayla sees Neville's Gran hand him an envelope, 5 Outstandings, 2 Exceeding Expectations, 1 Acceptable and 1 Fair. Mikayla smiled before returning to reality.

She whispers Neville his results, he beams brightly as others whisper knowing she gave him good news. "Well done Neville." She smiled giving him a high five. "Are you a fraud Miss Black?" Mikayla spun around to become face to face with Umbridge, she was taken aback from the accusations. She of course denies the accusation, "right me next then, I'd like to see the past to prove you're not a fraud. I want you to tell me what the Sorting Hat told me." "And you're ok with me touching your shoulder and announcing it to the class?" Umbridge nodded.

"You're determined I see, very resourceful and crave being a leader. You're a bit of a loner, people don't like you because of your views on right and wrong. You are cunning and manipulative that's for sure, not the bravest person, big fear of half breeds. Your brother has always been brighter than you, you have ambition to bring him down. SLYTHERIN!"

"Are you sure you're ok with everyone knowing?" She nodded, Mikayla cleared her throat, "Professor the sorting hat told you: You're determined I see, very resourceful and crave being a leader. You're a bit of a loner, people don't like you because of your views on right and wrong. You are cunning and manipulative that's for sure, not the bravest person, big fear of half breeds. Your brother has always been brighter than you, you have ambition to bring him down. SLYTHERIN!..." Some of the class snigger and Umbridge looked disgusted that Mikayla wasn't faking being a Seer. "That'll be detention for you Miss Black for intentionally mocking a teacher." People went silent predicting Mikayla was going to fight Umbridge, "very well Professor, tonight after dinner?" Umbridge looked quite shocked at Mikayla's response, "well, um yes. Today after dinner it is." Mikayla nodded, asking Umbridge to give her some space, so she can continue with her predictions.
