"Yeh'll do it, then?" said Hagrid hopefully, "We'll..." Harry said, sounding like he was already regretting his promise to help, "I'm in." Mikayla shrugged looking at the sleeping giant with a smile, catching Harry and Hermione off guard. "We'll try, Hagrid..." Harry promises. "I knew I could count on yeh, Harry," Hagrid once again was close to tears, he dabbed at his face with the enormous handkerchief. "An' I don' wan' yeh ter put yerself out too much, like.... I know yeh've got exams... If yeh could jus' nip down here in yer Invisibility Cloak maybe once a week an' have a little chat with him.... I'll wake him up, then- introduce you-" Hermione immediately started in protest, "No, no no no, no thank you, there's no need-" Hagrid ignored her objections and was striding towards Grawp. "Hagrid you're not supposed to wake a sleeping giant..." Mikayla tried to reason with him.

At ten feet away Hagrid grinned over his shoulder at them and reached down to pick up a large fallen branch. He then proceeded to poke Grawp in the back with said branch, starting Grawp, he let out a roar, a sound of likes that Mikayla has never heard. "Oh my god- put him back to sleep," Hermione said in what sounded like a cry. Mikayla clasped her hands over her ears, blocking out the loud sound. Grawp found a way to prop himself up and find his footing.

The earth beneath them trembled as his great hands caught hold of trees and pressed themselves against the ground. "All righ', Grawpy?" said Hagrid in a would-be cheery voice, backing away with the long bough raised, ready to poke Grawp again. "Had a nice sleep, eh?" The trio had retreated back over a hundred feet to a distance where they felt safer but could still see Grawp. Mikayla tripped over a protruding tree route and caught hold of Harry's arm, once balanced, still grasped it mindlessly, her focus being on the giant in front of them.

Grawp then squatted between two trees that he had not uprooted, peering down at them. His skin was a muddy grey color with yellow undertones. His face was enormous, it looked like a large stone, his features protruding from this stone in odd forms. His teeth looked as big as bricks, yellow with decay and mistreatment, some broken. His eyes were also a dirty color, hits of green clouded out by grey-browns. They were barely parted, strings of sleep connecting the two eyelids, there was dirt collecting along the crease of his lower eyelid. As he moved, the trees to which he was tied to groaned against the force. One shuttered and a flock of birds evacuated its branches, leaving the flap of their wings to echo through the trees. "Anyway, Grawpy, I've brought some friends ter meet yeh. Remember, I told yeh I might? Remember, when I said I might have ter go on a little trip an' leave them ter look after yeh fer a bit? Remember that, Grawpy?" Grawp roared again, Mikayla couldn't tell if it was meant to be a reply or not. He turned his attention to the top of a tall pine tree, he grasped the top and bent it back toward himself. He let go and watched it as it snapped forward like a spring, he grunted with content. "Now, Grawpy, don' do that!" warned Hagrid. "Tha's how you ended up pullin' up the others -" As expected, the earth at the base of the tree began to lift and split. "I got company fer yeh!" Hagrid cupped his hands around his mouth to amplify his voice. "Company, see! Look down, yeh big buffoon, I brought yeh some friends!" "Oh Hagrid, don't," Hermione squeaked, Hagrid ignored this and poked him once again to get his attention "This," Hagrid started, shuffling over to them and then egging them closer the Grawp. Mikayla took a deep breath and stepped closer to the giant, her knees wobbled but she was calm, "is Harry, Grawp! Harry Potter! He migh' be comin' ter visit yeh if I have ter go away, understand?"

Grawp noticed them for the first time and lowered his head to look at them. "An' this is Hermione, see? Her-" Hagrid stopped and turned to Hermione, frowning, "Would yeh mind if he called yeh Hermy, Hermione? On'y it's a difficult name fer him ter remember....." Mikayla smiled to herself. "No, not at all," breathed Hermione, she stood a few steps behind Mikayla. "This is Hermy, Grawp!" "An' this is Mi-" Hagrid frown trying to form some sort of nickname, "can he call you Micah?" Mikayla nodded smiling, "This is MICAH, they'll be keepin' yeh comp'ny, they're yer new friends- GRAWPY, NO!" Grawp's hand shot forward like a car barreling down a road.

Before she even had time to think she was swept by Grawp and lifted into the air. Hermione gave a fearful yelp. "BAD BOY, GRAWPY!" Hagrid was yelling, he was out of sight, since Mikayla was checking on Hermione. Mikayla relaxed her entire body, just as she thought if she reacted badly, Grawp might hurt her. "VERY BAD BOY! YEH DON' GRAB- OUCH!" Mikayla took this opportunity to smile at Grawp making him look at her curiously, Mikayla pointed to the giant, "Grawp?" He nodded, Mikayla pointed to herself, "Micah." Grawp smiled. "Micah!" Mikayla gasped as the giant said her name, she pointed at Hermione who watched in curiosity in Grawp's other hand, "Hermy." "Hermy." Grawp parroted, before looking back at Mikayla. "Grawp put Hermy and Micah down." Mikayla did hand signals to help Grawp understand. He slowly placed the girls back on the ground. "GRAWPY BAD BOY, YOU DO NOT GRAB." Hagrid yelled and Grawp sunk in sadness, he looked around his belongings before picking up a handlebar off a bike and ringing the bell before handing it to Hermione, she looked at Mikayla for help. "Ring it, it's his apology." Hermione nodded, ringing the bell back at Grawp who claps happily. He laid out his hand to Hermione to put the handlebar back in his hand, she did so and Grawp handed it to Mikayla after ringing it again. Mikayla returned the ring with a smile, Grawp clapped again before Mikayla gave him back the bell.

"Righ'," he said gruffly. "Well... there yeh are... Yeh've met him an'- an' now he'll know yeh when yeh come back. Yeah.... well..." Harry's eyes wandered upward from Hagrid, looking up at Grawp "Well, I reckon tha's enough fer one day," Hagrid said, his voice sounding somewhat defeated. "We'll- er- we'll go back now, shall we?" As they were heading out Mikayla put a hand on Hermione's arm, and gave her a look as to ask if she was alright, she shrugged, no real words were exchanged. "You were amazing with him, how'd you know it would work." Hermione asked as they made their way back through the Forrest. "I showed him I wasn't afraid of him and that he didn't need to be afraid of me." "How?" "I relaxed when he picked me up. Didn't struggle or put up a fight." Hermione nodded, shivering at the memory of what just happened.
