After breakfast, they were all ushered into bedrooms and told to sleep. Mikayla was sure no one else had difficulty sleeping, maybe Harry, if he shared the same fear as her, but the house was altogether quiet for most of the morning. By the time the house had awoken, it was time for lunch. Everyone's trunks arrived while they ate, they got piled in the hallway until Sirius had tracked Kreacher down and ordered him to put them in everyone's room. "Did you sleep?" Mikayla asked Harry out of the corner of her mouth after people were beginning to collect in the kitchen after dressing. He shook his no, then gave her a look, expecting her answer on the subject. "No," She said simply. The more talkative people of the bunch, meaning everyone who actually slept, greeted Tonks and Mad-Eye happily when they arrived to escort them. Mad-Eye had stylishly decided to wear a bowler hat at an angle to cover his magical eye, though the poor man was only trying to stand out less, he was the centre of attention and jokes at the moment.
On the train, they were told to pick one person and sit with them away from the others, as to avoid any more attention being drawn to them. Mikayla sat with Ginny, who seemed overly nervous about seeing her dad in any condition but the best. The station they got off on was in the heart of London. Leaving the train was difficult in the slow moving mass of people. Ginny held Mikayla's wrist as Mikayla squeezed through the crowds of people, trying to catch up with at least one of the people with red or pink hair. They caught up with their slightly dispersed crowd who was lead by Tonks, they followed each other up an escalator. "Not far from here," Mad-Eye grumbled as they stepped out of the station into the brisk air and swarms of holiday shoppers. They kept walking, everyone trying to keep track of the person in front of them. "Wasn't easy to find a good location for a hospital. Nowhere in Diagon Alley was big enough and we couldn't have it underground like the Ministry- unhealthy. In the end they managed to get hold of a building up here. Theory was sick wizards could come and go and just blend in with the crowd..." They continued walking for a while, occasionally stopping to join up with others or avoid large crowds they could get lost in. "Here we go," Moody grunted, hobbling toward a large and seemingly abandoned building. It was a red brick department store with misshapen mannequins in the windows. Each door hung a sun-faded sign that read "CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT" "Right," Tonks said, waving them forward toward a certain window that didn't particularly stand out. "Everybody ready?" She asked. Mikayla looked around her at an oddly dressed dummy in the window whose extremities were rotated in all different directions and false eyelashes were hanging off one end. They gathered around her, Mad-Eye a little rough with a shove to Harry's back to get him moving. Tonks got up very close to the glass of the window, looking right at the old mannequin. "Wotcher... We're here to see Arthur Weasley." It nodded and beckoned them forward with a curl of its finger. Tonks took Molly and Ginny by their arms and walked through the glass and vanished. Fred and George then followed, Ron and Mikayla stepped up. Mikayla looked back, Harry's mouth was parted in shock. You'd think five years of this stuff and he wouldn't be surprised anymore. "It's just like King's Cross, Harry," Mikayla said as she stepped through the glass with Ron.
They emerged on the other side in a clean white hospital reception area. Lastly, Harry and Mad-Eye emerged, Harry looked around the room, still amazed. Mikayla glanced around, the room was rather full, people with peculiar ailments and others who were just sitting and reading. She found Molly just before she shouted, "Over here!" to the rest. They herded together once more and followed her over to a rosy-cheeked blonde woman seated behind a desk labeled "INQUIRIES". They stood in the queue and waited, Molly had her hands folded together in front of her, smiling. At the front of the queue, a man was hopping from foot to foot, without listening in Harry might have thought he was dancing, or at least trying. "It's these- ouch- shoes my brother gave me- ow- they're eating my- OUCH- feet- look at them, there must be some kind of- AARGH- jinx on them and I can't- AAAAARGH- get them off-" He shouted and winced as he leapt between feet, occasionally banging his foot against the side of the desk. "The shoes don't prevent you reading, do they?" she said, sounding bitter and annoyed. The woman pointed to a sign on the left side of her desk. "You want Spell Damage, fourth floor. Just like it says on the floor guide. Next!" They shuffled forward a few steps. Mikayla glanced at the sign, seeing there were five floors and the top one was a tearoom and shop. Next in the front of the queue was an old wizard, hunched over with a hearing trumpet held up to his ear. "I'm here to see Broderick Bode!" he said hoarsely. "Ward forty-nine, but I'm afraid you're wasting your time, he's completely addled, you know, still thinks he's a teapot.... Next!" Next, a man stepped up, holding his daughter by the ankle as she bobbed around his head. She had two large feathery wings protruding out of her back and holes in her romper. "Fourth floor," she said, twirling a quill in her hand, bored and unamused. "Next!" Molly moved up in line to the front of the desk. "Hello," she smiled. "My husband, Arthur Weasley, was supposed to be moved to a different ward this morning, could you tell us-?" "Arthur Weasley?" the witch repeated, trailing her finger down a long list of names. "Yes, first floor, second door on the right, Dai Llewellyn ward." "Thank you," Molly gleamed. "Come on, you lot." They followed her once again like a line of ducklings following their mother. They passed through a set of double doors to a hallway lined with portraits of famous healers that eyed them as they walked by. Up a flight of stairs, Molly mumbled "Creature-Induced Injuries" as they passed by the sign for the floor they were entering. "We'll wait outside, Molly," Tonks said just outside the ward they kept Arthur in. "Arthur won't want too many visitors at once... It ought to be just the family first."
Mikayla stepped back and let all the Weasleys move past her into the room, then started to lean against a wall. "Don't be silly, you two, you're family all the same." Molly chuckled and pulled Mikayla by her arm, and grabbed Harry too, who also believed he wasn't the family Arthur needed in there with him. They entered the "Serious Bites" ward where only three patients were stationed. Arthur was placed in the bed closest to the only window on the far end of the room. He was sitting up, multiple pillows stacked behind him, reading the Daily Prophet. Mikayla was thoroughly relieved to see him so conscious and lively, they all walked toward him, as he looked up and noticed who it was, he threw his paper aside and greeted them warmly. "Hello! Bill just left, Molly, had to get back to work, but he says he'll drop in on you later...." "How are you, Arthur?" Molly asked after kissing his cheek 'hello' and looking closely at his face. "You're still looking a bit peaky..." "I feel absolutely fine," Arthur said positively, stretching out his one good arm to hug Ginny.
