The Search

"Why you-" Moody went to advance towards Mikayla but the man behind pulled her towards him so that her back was against his chest and his wand had moved from her back to her throat, Moody froze as Mikayla gulped in fear, he then took a few steps back to show whoever was holding her him complying to his wishes. Mikayla made eye contact with Fred as she saw him considering attacking, she shook her head no, before her bag was snatch off her, Mikayla hissed as her restrainer grabbed her shoulder near her broken collarbone.

"We should've known that you wouldn't keep a book that valuable in a empty house." That's when it clicked who was behind her, the Carrow twins, "how did you get here without anyone seeing you?" Mikayla questioned trying to act tough but her trembling voice was a dead give away, "polyjuice obviously." Alecto chuckled, "idiot." Alecto began emptying Mikayla's bag out onto the floor, "how much food do you eat?" Amycus questions as she throws out sixteen lunch boxes, "they aren't all mine." Mikayla snapped in response, earning herself to be pulled by the hair forcing her to look up at the roof and giving the Carrow's better excess to her throat. "Ugh the only book she has in here is a potion book." Alecto informs her brother, "make sure it doesn't have a disillusionment charm or a concealing charm." Amycus orders his sister, after she used all possible counter-charms she threw the book and it hit Mikayla in the knee, almost making her legs to collapse, "oof."

"Where is it?" Alecto forced Mikayla to look at her, "I don't know what you're looking for." Mikayla lied, Amycus tightens his grip on the blonde when he saw the group of sixteen whispering, "no conspiring or I slit her throat." The group froze and couldn't do anything but watch the Carrow's. "A book passed down your family since Charity Carra, that explains how to put your power into a object." Amycus explains to the blonde, Mikayla acted confused as though she had no idea what they were talking about. "My mother only gave me a necklace, have you searched the O'Brien Manor?" Mikayla questions, Alecto cackled at the blonde's words, "of course we have, we wouldn't be risking everything if it wasn't our last resort." Amycus informs her, "I'm sorry but I can't help you." Mikayla watched Alecto look at her neck curiously, Mikayla was wearing a heart-shaped necklace, "where's the necklace?" Mikayla begins to sweat slightly, she clears her throat, "I left it at Hogwarts this year because I didn't think I'd need it." Alecto laughs at this statement, "you just radiate confidence huh? I didn't need the special necklace that stops me from being killed because it's summer time and I'm care-free." Alecto does a terrible impression of Mikayla, Mikayla rolls her eyes before she was shoved towards Fred's chest as Amycus and Alecto disapparated from the office.

"Oh my Merlin, are you ok?" Molly beckons to the girls side, checking for any sign Mikayla was hurt or emotional effected. "I'm fine." Mikayla straightened her clothes as the group stared at her with wide eyes of disbelief, "what?" Mikayla instinctively spun around to check if someone was behind her. "okay, so I'm a little jumpy but I'll get over it. Now can we please go home." Mikayla begged, "where's the book?" Mundungus questions Mikayla, "I have no idea what you're talking about." Mikayla's eyes flickered to the corner where she could see that someone was under the disillusionment charm, she was able to see their outline and apparently so could Dumbledore. "Yeah, you should all get home. Pair up." Molly and Arthur went first then Ginny and Avery, then Mikayla and Ron, followed by the twins, Bill and Fleur, Lupin and Tonks, Charlie and Kingsley, Moody and Dumbledore.

"Good eye on that man in the corner Mikayla." Dumbledore slapped a hand on Mikayla's injured shoulder, she yipped in pain that shot up her arm. "Homenum Revelio." Moody casted the group watched to make sure no one was in the house, "Woah, they really trashed your room." Ron told them after he went to check, "so where's the book?" Mikayla went outside, the rest of the group followed her, Mikayla led them to the oak tree that she spends a lot of time under neat. She removed the massive knot in the middle of the trunk revealing a hollow in the tree, Mikayla pulled out a small red bag, she pulled the necklace and book out of the bag. "How did you make that with no magic?" Mikayla chuckled at Bill's question, "that's nature-made, I discovered it the last time I sat down here. I was trying to come up with a place the Carrow's wouldn't even consider a hiding place. I had a feeling that they would eventually catch up with me and try to get me to hand it over." She shrugged before tucking the book back inside along with her necklace.

"I think it'll be safe here for the next few years. Until it's time for me to pass it on." Avery smiled at her sister's words, "until MJ is old enough to inherit it?" Mikayla smiled nodding whilst answering Avery's question. "Who's MJ?" Fleur questions, "Mikayla's first daughter, she had a vision of herself 8 years from now and saw that she has three kids, Michelle, Wesley, and Harrison, a husband and is running the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures." Ginny responds explaining who MJ is, Mikayla sent her a thankful smile for not mentioning that Fred was her husband, "anyway, can we move on?" Mikayla asks the group hopefully, "who did you marry?" George questions, "I'm not saying, only a few people know and those who know have sworn to secrecy, right guys?" Mikayla turned to Ron, Avery and Ginny, "right," "yeah," "of course." The other Weasley kids didn't seem too happy that Mikayla wasn't going to spill the beans, "wait is that why you're so interested in my ideas about the treatment of Dragons?" Charlie asks, Mikayla nodded, "yeah, are you still up for me picking your brain?" Charlie nodded ecstatically, "course, especially now since I know that you might be able to make it a reality." Mikayla couldn't help but smile, "is there anything else you need from me?" Mikayla questions the adults, they all look at each other before Tonks speaks up, "no..." she says slowly, "Great, race you to the pond Char."

"How about a license or permit for Dragon hunting for resource/retail purposes?" Mikayla suggests, "and poaching earns two years in Azkaban and a fine of, what like, 2,500 Galleons?" Charlie adds to Mikayla's idea, "that's brilliant as the threat will scare off most poachers." Mikayla rights the idea down in her notebook. "The Licence should have a Dragon limit to protect the species from endangerment or extinction." Charlie nods his head, "we should also set up Dragon Sanctuaries all over the globe for endangered species to allow them to grow in numbers." Mikayla jotted down Charlie's ideas for the Dragon Protection Scheme Mikayla hopes to pass during her first year as Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.
