I JUST WISH EVERYTHING WOULD JUST STOP

Mikayla paced Ron's room anxiously waiting for the boys to arrive, Avery sat on Ron bed waiting her sister with curiosity as to why she was acting so strange. "Are you ok, Kay?" Avery asked after five minutes, Mikayla didn't answer she just kept pacing, her mind was racing. Mikayla was afraid if she stopped moving that she would explode, she felt like she was disappointing everyone. Avery was getting very worried about her sister, she stood up and took a hold of Mikayla's shoulder, forcing the blonde to stop, Mikayla just stared at the ground refusing to look at Avery. "Look at me." Mikayla didn't move, Avery forced Mikayla to look at her, "what's going on in that mind of yours?" Avery asked in a whisper, Mikayla just shook her head no, "tell me what's wrong please..." Avery's voice was ever so gentle.

"I don't know what's happening to me, I'm so tired and overwhelmed over everything and I feel like I'm disappointing everyone but most of all I feel like I'm losing my mind." Mikayla's voice was as quiet as a mouse, Avery pulled her into a hug, "M, you're putting too much pressure on yourself to be perfect. You need to grieve, take a break, sleep without waking up ever two hours screaming, and you need to stop trying to make everyone happy, or you're going to explode." Mikayla began to laugh lightly at Avery's thoughts, "you don't think I know I'm over-working myself? or that my sleep schedule is disastrous! I know Avery, but there's nothing I can do!" Mikayla's voice began to rise out of frustration, "I JUST WISH EVERYTHING WOULD JUST STOP!" Mikayla admitted with a shout before just dropping to the ground, wrapping her arms around her knees that drew up against her chest.

"I just want it to stop hurting so much, or for everything to stop falling apart, and stop seeing there emotionless faces every time I close my eyes. I wish I could just rewind time and stop myself falling for Cedric or stop myself from going to the Ministry, because the sad truth is the more you care the more you have to lose, if I lose anyone else, I don't think I'll be able to come back from it." Mikayla was crumbling, her voice scratched as she fought back tears, "I wish that I didn't feel so broken and I wish I didn't feel so guilty for all the blood that has collected on my hands..." Mikayla concluded.

Mikayla laid her head on her knees as she drew in a few deep breaths, she felt Avery pull her into a hug, she rubbed circles in Mikayla's back as she tried to hold in her tears, "let it out, stop fighting your tears." Avery whispered, Mikayla couldn't help it, with Avery's words her fight stopped and her sobbing started, "what do I do Avery? How do I survive this?" Mikayla choked out, Avery just shushed the blonde as she comforted her, "eventually it'll be better but you need to accept it and express your feelings, for that to happen." Mikayla nodded in the crook of her sisters neck.

After five minutes, Mikayla's throat felt as though it was ripped into pieces, she had stopped crying and was cuddling into her sister, "I'm sorry for yelling..." Mikayla apologises to Avery just as the twins and Ron arrive in the room. Mikayla's eyes widened as she turned her head, hiding her red eyes and puffy cheeks from the boys. "Ron was telling us that you wanted to change your working days..." George's voice filled Mikayla's ears, his voice was so soft. "Yeah.." Mikayla cleared her throat before turning towards boys, she pulled down on the sleeves of cardigan as her gaze set on her slippers. "I.. um.. I think that I've bitten off more than what I can chew." Mikayla tells them refusing to look at the boys. Ron took a seat next to Mikayla on the floor wrapping an arm around her shoulders to show some support. "So, what does this mean, you don't work in the shop anymore?" Fred asks, "no, just not as much I am scheduled for." Mikayla told them finally looking up at the twins faces.

"I was thinking instead of 38, we cut it down to 23 days." Avery spoke up, Mikayla's head shot towards her sister looking at her with furrowed eyebrows. "Yeah, we'll work it out tomorrow." George smiles, his eyes shifting to meet the blonde's, "I'm sorry for letting you both down, I reall-" "You're not letting us down Mikayla, we just want you to be ok." Fred interrupted the blonde mid-apology. "Thank you for understanding." Mikayla smiled sadly, pushing herself off the ground and bringing the pair into a hug. "of course, we have to take care of our favourite blonde." Mikayla chuckled lightly at George's remark, once she let go of the boys, they each gave her a kiss on the cheek before saying their goodbyes.

"You're welcome to join us brewing if you want Ron." Avery tells the redhead after the girls decided that they're going to start inventing the uncontrollable laughing potion. "No, I'm ok, I'll probably play some exploding snap with Ginny." Ron informed them as he dropped the girls off outside of their bedroom. "See you after work tomorrow Ron." The pair inform him, he nods smiling before disappearing out of sight down stairs. The girls place the cauldron on their shared desk, they unloaded all the ingredients and Mikayla pulled out her copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi and her notes on Zygmunt Budge's laughing potion. "So, I was thinking that we make Budge's potion but add some of our own ingredients and to switch up the measurements to make it strong." Mikayla informed Avery, as she opened up her book to do with herbs and fungi. "We should add ethanol, it usually makes people giggly." "You mean tipsy.." Mikayla shot back at Avery making the brunette nod and laugh a little. "Yeah we'll add it, as well as Nux Myristica and Anjelica." Mikayla shows the information know on the two plants, before the brunette agreed with the blonde.

Avery's adds clear spring water into the cauldron. Mikayla then adds seven Alihotsy leaves, before stirring it slowly clockwise. Avery sniggers at the potion as instructed in Budge's recipe. Then Mikayla adds four Billywig wings continuing to stir it slowly. Avery adds six Knarl quills, as Mikayla heats the mixture, and Avery takes over stirring, vigorously. Avery giggles at the potion because Budge tells them to. Mikayla adds two sprigs Anjelica, and Avery heats the mixture once again. Avery adds the Puffskein hair over the surface of the potion before stirring the potion quickly and Mikayla applies high heat. Avery let out a large belch causing the pair to follow the next step of laughing loudly and uncontrollably at the mixture. They laughed for a solid five minutes before Mikayla added a cup of horseradish powder and half a cup of Ethanol, Avery stirs the potion and adds heat to it for the last time. Finally, Mikayla wave her wand over the cauldron to finish the potion.

"We should all try it." Ginny said once Mikayla and Avery asked her to test it with them, Ginny invited Ron. "We don't know the concentration, so we'll try different sample sizes." Mikayla told them, she gave Ginny three drops, Ron four, Avery five and herself six into little shot glasses. "3.. 2... 1." Avery counted down before the group threw their heads back, allowing the potion to go down their throat. Mikayla was the first to start giggling, Avery followed after two minutes when Mikayla began to laugh hysterically, then Ron as Avery's laughs started to get harder and finally two minutes after Ron began to slap his knee, laughing whole heartily, Ginny began laughing. Mikayla was holding her side in stitches laughing, Avery had tears in her eyes, Ron was laughing silent and all you could hear was his taking in choked breaths, and Ginny was letting out a few snorts that made the others laugh harder.
