"Crescere Pedes" Mikayla speaks proudly, causing four legs to sprout out of her teacup, allowing it venture along her table. Montague had still not recovered from his temporary stay in the toilet. He remained confused and disorientated and his parents were to be observed one Tuesday morning striding up the front drive, looking infuriated. "Should we say something?" Hermione asked in a worried voice pressing her cheek against the Charms close window. "About what happened to him? In case it helps Madam Pomfrey cure him?" Ron shrugged saying that they shouldn't and that Montague will recover, "anyway, more trouble for Umbridge, isn't it?" Harry spoke with a satisfied voice. Harry and Ron cheers'd their tea cups that they were supposed to be charming with their wands. Harry's tea cup had very short legs that couldn't reach the desk below it, whilst Ron's had long lanky legs that trembled greatly. "That's all very well, but what if Montague's permanently injured?"
"Who cares?" Ron questions irritably, while his tea cup stood up drunkenly. "Montague shouldn't have tried to take all those points from Gryffindor, should he? If you want to worry about anyone, Hermione, worry about me!" "You?" Mikayla and Hermione question catching their teacups before they fell off the edges of their desks. "Why should I be worried about you?" Hermione asks, "When Mum's next letter finally gets through Umbridge's screening process. I'm going to be in deep trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if she's sent another Howler. I'll be my fault Fred and George left, just you wait stop. She'll say I should've stopped I'm leaving, I should've grabbed them ends of their brooms and hold on or something... Yeah, it will be all my fault." Mikayla was stunned that Ron had this attitude about where his mum and dad will place the blame of the Weasley twins departure. Hermione tells Ron that would be extremely unfair of them since he couldn't have stopped the twins even if he tried. And reminds him that if they already have a premises in Diagon Alley that they must've been planning it for ages.
"yeah, but that's another thing, how did they get premises?" Ron hit his teacup which trembled under the force, Mikayla shared a worried glance with Harry that they might have to come clean about giving the twins money as Ron goes on saying it's a bit dodgy that, as they'd need a lot of Galleons to rent a place in Diagon Alley. Him and Hermione started to speculate where the twins got the money. "I've been wondering whether Mundungus has persuaded them to sell stolen goods or something awful." Hermione words her thoughts. "He hasn't," Mikayla and Harry spoke in sync, "how do you know?" Hermione and Ron mimicked Mikayla and Harry. "Because... Because they got the gold from me and Mikayla. I gave them my Triwizard winnings last June." "And I gave them the money I earned during the summer, because I wanted to help." Mikayla spoke proudly and with confidence in her voice. There was a shocked silence, then Hermione's teacup jogged off the edge of the table and smashed on the floor. "Oh, you didn't!" She exclaims in a whisper. "Yes, we did." Mikayla spoke disregarding Hermione's negativity. "And I don't regret it, either. I didn't need the gold and they'll be great at running a joke shop. And Mikayla agrees." Mikayla nods as Harry informs them of his lack of regret.
"But this is excellent!" Ron looked absolutely thrilled at the news, "it's all your fault! Mum can't blame me at all! Can I tell her?" Mikayla nodded smiling at Ron's happiness even if it means throwing her and Harry under the bus that they paid for. Hermione fell silent for the rest of the class, Ron had already begun on his letter to pass the blame onto Mikayla and Harry, Mikayla helped the boys with their teacups legs, showing them how to make them stronger for Ron and longer for Harry.
When the foursome left the castle for break and were standing around in the weak May sunshine, Hermione fixed her eyes on Harry as she began to open her mouth to say something, Harry cut in " it's no good nagging me, it's done. Fred and George have got the gold, spent a good bit of it, too, by the sounds of it. I can't get it back from them and I don't want to. So save your breath, Hermione." Mikayla's eyes widen in shock on how Harry spoke to his friend, "I wasn't going to say anything about Fred and George!" Hermione snapped with a injured coating in her voice. Ron snorted in disbelief whilst Mikayla sent her an apologetic look. "No, I wasn't! As a matter of fact, I was going to ask Harry when he's going to go back to Snape and ask for more Occlumency lessons!" Hermione said with a 'matter of fact' tone. Mikayla choked on her apple in surprise of the subject, she could tell Harry's heart had sank. "You can't tell me you've stopped having funny dreams because Ron told me you were muttering in your sleep again last night." Mikayla sat up straight, "it's completely normal for teens to mutter in the sleep during stressful time and if you haven't noticed 'Mione but the OWLs are next month, and Harry needs an 'O' in potions to become an Auror." Mikayla tried defending and making an excuse for Harry's muttering, she also believed he needed to return to the lessons but she knew he can't. "You were only muttering a bit. Something about 'just a bit further'" Ron mumbled apologetically for saying anything to Hermione about Harry's sleep routine. "I dreamed I was watching you lot play Quidditch. I was trying to get you to stretch out a bit further to grab the Quaffle." Harry lied and as Hermione watched Ron look embarrassed at the ground, Mikayla gave Harry a slap in the back of the head for being cruel.
The foursome were briefly silent, Hermione was the one to break the silence once again, "You are trying to block your mind, aren't you? You are keeping going with your Occlumency?" You could hear the worry in Hermione's voice, "of course I am," Harry shot back in an offended tone, he refused to look at Hermione for the rest of the break.
