Mikayla spent the weekend with Neville in the library and the potions classroom. Mikayla asked permission off Snape to borrow his room whilst she tutored Neville on some potions that are most likely going to come up on the exam. Harry joined them for an hour or so before giving up as 'Mikayla is too strict' on definitions. Mikayla didn't take it to heart as she did know that she was a tough tutor on those she believed could handle it, and it wasn't that Neville couldn't handle it but Mikayla believed that Neville's lack of Potions knowledge is mainly due to his fear of Snape. During the weekend the pair became quite close, Neville even opened up about his parents and what happened to them, and how he wants to make them proud. "I'm sure they are proud of you Neville, you're a great guy." Mikayla smiled giving him a tissue since a tear had spilled from his eye. Mikayla even opened up a little about her Dad and explained how he was innocent and charged wrongfully, and how much she wished she could spend time with him. Neville believed Mikayla with no questions on how she knew her dad was innocent, he simply justified his trust in the blonde when she questioned him on it, "you haven't lied to me so far." Mikayla felt her eyes gloss, as she smiled at a guy that truly trusted her. "And I plan to live up to that Neville." The pair shared a cute little hug before returning to study.

On Sunday, Neville invited Mikayla, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Avery, Parvati and Lavender to his sixteenth birthday on July 30th, saying that he wanted to have a party with friends instead of just family this year. They all accepted his invitation happily, and invited him to their celebrations throughout the summer which he happily accepted. "Can we take a hour break? I need to write to my Gran." Neville asked Mikayla, who looked at her watch to see that it was 4pm, "How about we start back after dinner is finished at 7?" "Great thanks M." Mikayla smiles as she watches Neville running out of the courtyard, towards Gryffindor Tower. "You two seem to be hitting it off." Harry commented, gesturing to Mikayla and where Neville had run off. "Yeah, Neville is a great, he's really opened up to me about family matters which is nice. And his Potions are doing so much better, he could go from a 'Dreadful' to an 'Acceptable' easily in the exam." Mikayla smiles sighing contently, "if that happens I'll never question your intelligence again.." Ron chuckles, as Mikayla sat on the ground and leaned against Avery's legs. "You mean Neville's intelligence because we all know I'm a genius, right Pottah?" Harry nods whilst the others laugh at my Draco impression.

"I can't believe we only have 12 days left of fifth year..." Avery admits, "Woah, I didn't even realise that's all." Mikayla whispers as she looks up at the sky, shock painted on her face. "This year flew by." Ron adds, getting on the ground beside Mikayla, who places her head on his shoulder. Soon Ginny, Lavender, Avery, Parvati, Hermione and Harry joined the pair on the ground, all of them just held onto one another, just drinking in the summer breeze, silence and love. "McGonagall was right, what she said at the start of first year." Ginny spoke, Mikayla smiled at the memory of the nerves of her first day. "Whilst at Hogwarts your house will be your family..." Avery scoffed at Hermione's words, she was indeed the only Slytherin in a group of Gryffindors, "Well Av's you're an honorary member of Gryffindor." Parvati smiled kissing her girlfriend. "Every house has a oddball." Mikayla joked making Avery laugh.

All of a sudden Mikayla felt really emotional, tears welled in her eyes, "hey, hey, what's wrong?" Ron asks as he notices the sudden change of Mikayla's mood, everyone's head turns towards Mikayla, she smiles as a tear trailed down her cheek, "I just love you guys, haha, I don't even know why I'm crying right now." she sniffles wiping her tears laughing whilst the others hug her. "I love you guys too." Avery tears up, and before you could say 'Quidditch' they were all in loving tears and cuddles. They all started to laugh out how ridiculous they look crying in the courtyard and hugging one another. Mikayla gave Harry an extra hug, "keeping fighting Har, and I'll keep fighting with you." Mikayla whispers as she knows this year has been a hard year for Harry, "I Love you, M." Harry hugs her tighter, "I Love you more, Har." Mikayla pulls Ron into the hug, "I Love you all the same, Ronnie." Ron and Harry laugh and tell each they love one another, soon the hug was a eight person hug, sharing their love again.

A bell sounded, "DINNER TIME!" Mikayla yells from the middle of the hug, everyone laughs, separated and made their way to the Great Hall. Avery was invited to join them again, Mikayla went with her to tell the other Slytherin's. "I'm going to eat at the Gryffindor table, I'll see you guys in the common room after." "Again?" Pansy questioned as the girls went to walk away, Mikayla spun around smiling, "yeah, sorry, it's me being a bit selfish. I just really want to have dinner with Avery, to catch up with my sister on her exams and such. Is that ok?" There was a fragility to Mikayla's voice that came unexpected to everyone, including herself, "Yeah of course, see you after Av." Draco spoke up, Mikayla smiled at him thanking him, before the pair walk away from the Slytherin 5ft Years. "I didn't realise this was so important to you." "It's been an emotional day, and it had me thinking that I don't want us to be all grown up and barely know each other." Avery pouted giving her sister a side hug before walking over to sit next to Parvati and across from Mikayla, who was in-between Harry and Ginny. They piled their food onto their plates, "Ron, can you pass me the mashed potatoes please?" Avery asked, Ron did as requested but he knocked over pumpkin juice that spilled all over Hermione, who gasped from the shock before she snorted and began laughing. Ron's ears reddened in embarrassment, as he apologised profusely, "it's fine Ron, it was an accident." Hermione tells him with a smile on her face, he asks her if she's sure that it's ok, which she nods to.

Mikayla and Avery spoke about the exams and caught everyone else up with their Fergal madness, and the fact Avery will be living in the Burrow with Weasleys and Mikayla. Mikayla and Ginny placed a bet to see how long it'll take for Ron and Hermione to get together, this conversation was clearly a hushed conversation. "I'mma say it'll be Summer of '97." Mikayla whispers, "Ok, I'm going to say it won't be official until Summer of '98." The girls shake on five Galleons bet. Mikayla then engaged in Harry's conversation with Ron and Neville, who were talking about the summer. "Mikayla, can you check when Harry will be arriving at the Burrow this summer?" Ron questioned, she laughed nodded and asked for Harry's hand, taking a sharp breath in. After a minute of a vision she came back, saying that Harry will be arriving in the Burrow on, "July 13th."  Harry beams at the news, "only two weeks with the Dursley's." He smiled, giving Mikayla a rushed hug. Avery laughs at the sight of Mikayla who seemed Dizzy from her interaction with the boys, "now you know how I feel in Slytherin." Mikayla frowned, she knew her sister felt like a bit of an outcast in Slytherin, sure when she was eleven she definitely prioritised the values of a Slytherin, but as she grew up she transferred to Gryffindor morals, since their Mammy died. Mikayla realised that she had spaced out in thoughts when she felt water being thrown in her face, never mind Avery is definitely a Slytherin. Mikayla gasped at the shock before she started laughing loudly, "Sorry I thought you passed out, you weren't responding." Avery chuckled, "I was lost in my thoughts." Mikayla explained before Hermione secretly performed a Hot Air charm, so Umbridge wouldn't see. "I'll get my revenge lil sis." Mikayla whispered, Avery faked looking scared.
