Model Prep

Mikayla woke up at 8am today, July 18th, with a smile on her face. They had their modelling shoot in Madam Malkin's in a few hours. Mikayla got a shower, scrubbing herself clean and clearing her mind. Once she was clean, dry and dressed, she returned to the girls' bedroom to wake up Ginny, Avery and Hermione. The three girls grumbled awake, Mikayla took their pancake orders, rushing downstairs to cook breakfast. "Morning." Mikayla called to the room where Molly, Arthur, Bill, Fleur, Fred and George sat eating their breakfast. "You're up early." Bill states to Mikayla looking at his watch, "we have Madam Malkin's photoshoot today, I'm on pancake duty while the other three wake up and get ready." Mikayla informed them as she pulled her hair into a ponytail. Mikayla started on the pancakes, "oh dear let me." Molly came up behind her, "mum, go enjoy your breakfast. I can handle a couple of pancakes." Molly sighed as Mikayla shooed her away and ushered her back into her seat.

"What time do you have to be at Madam Malkin's?" George questioned Mikayla, "models have to be there for 10." Mikayla informed him as she flipped the first pancake, "us four were thinking on going slightly earlier to help Madam Malkin set up, and help with crowd control." Mikayla admits they girls' plan for their arrival to the shoot. "It's nice of you girls to volunteer to help organise this for Madam Malkin, she's really been struggling with everything going on to get models." Molly compliments Mikayla's kindness making a blush burn on the blonde's cheeks, thanking Molly as she plates up the girls' pancakes. Mikayla wanted chocolate, Avery wanted syrup, Hermione wanted butter and Ginny wanted blueberries. The three girls arrive, joining the others at the table as Mikayla carried out their breakfast.

"Thanks M." Hermione smiled as Mikayla sat down next to her and Fred, "oh no need to thank me." Mikayla blushed as she began to eat her pancakes, she groaned as she chewed her first bite, it tasted amazing. "I should be off, see you all later." Arthur got up and gathered his belongings as everyone called out their goodbyes. Molly got up and disappeared upstairs with her broom, "we should go as well..." Bill stood up, linking arms with Fleur once she picked up her bag, and they disapparated. "Ok, what's going on?" Mikayla questioned, "yeah, why is everyone acting so weird?" Ginny questioned as the twin shift uncomfortably, knowing that they don't need to be at work for another 20 minutes. "Order reasons, we were discussing something rather important before Mikayla arrived." George informed them, Mikayla nodded apologising for interrupting an important meeting. "You could've told me to leave ya know." Mikayla added as she continued to eat her pancakes, "Mum tried by offering to make your breakfast but you insisted on doing it." Fred commented, Mikayla shook her head with a small smile playing on her lips, "I thought she was just fussing over me again. Seriously, next time just tell me to get out." The twins promised that next time Mikayla interrupts that they'll be sure to tell her to relocate herself.

"Wait are you not going to tell us what's going on?" Hermione asked the boys, Mikayla mumbled something into her food. "No, we can't, Dumbledore's orders." Ginny rolled her eyes at her brothers, "since when do you two follow the rules?" Avery questioned the two redheads, "since people started dying." George responded and the conversation died as well. "Can you at least give us a clue?" Ginny asked, "no, they're right not to tell us. I mean being left out of the loop is obviously for our own protection." Mikayla defended the twins secrecy, everyone turned to look at her surprised that she was interrogating them. "What's up with you?" Avery sounded worried as she asked Mikayla what's going on with her, "I just think ignorance is bliss right now." Mikayla shrugged as she picked up her plate and made her way to the sink.

Mikayla could feel everyone watching her as she was washing the dishes, she heard the sounds of whispers but couldn't hear the actual conversation. Mikayla has decided to ignore the whispers, not wanting to let it eat away at her and cause her to become overwhelmed. Mikayla rolled back her shoulders before grabbing the tea towel and drying up the dishes, she had washed. "We're going to go now love." Fred's voice came from behind Mikayla making her jump. "Okay bubba, I'll stop in after the shoot with your outfit for Brian's party tomorrow." Mikayla told him, giving Fred a kiss goodbye, "great, I'll see you then love." Fred peck her again before disapparating. Mikayla smiled to herself as she finished the dishes.

The four girls rushed up Diagon Alley towards Madam Malkin's with their arms linked. "Oh I'm so excited." Ginny squealed as the shop came into view. "Oh, I can't wait to feel like a princess all day." Hermione smiles as they knocked on the shop door. Madam Malkin opens the door and grins widely at the four girls, "oh I was worried you changed your mind about doing this." Malkin pulls the four girls into the shop before giving them a hug. The girls looked around the room, seeing the hairdressers and makeup artists setting up their stations whilst someone starts filling racks up with dresses. "How many models were you able to get? because I got no one." Malkin asks the blonde, "they'll be 38 of us all together." Mikayla hands Madam Malkin over the list of people modelling, who's singing the song, and the song sheet music with lyrics.

"I was wondering if I could get a few songs this year, because as thankful as I am, one song on a constant loop drove me mad." Madam Malkin admits to the blonde, who chuckles lightly in response. "Course, um as long as your ok with us spending sometime to test the models vocals." Avery bargained with Malkin, who sighs in relief, saying that she's more than happy to allow them to do that. "How many songs are we thinking?" "25?" Madam Malkin suggests, "okay, um can we have a couple of days before handing in all the songs?" Mikayla asks, Malkin questions how long the girls would need. "We'll drop them in by 1 next Thursday." Avery plans, Madam Malkin agrees to the girls timeline. It gives them a week to finish filming 25 songs.

Mikayla, Avery, and Ginny flicked through Mikayla's songbooks as the hairdressers worked on styling their hair, "I'm thinking we can do 'Never Enough', I can mash up the two 'Happier' songs, and we can use 'Fall Apart' from this songbook, and we can film them here." Mikayla informs the girls once she reads a handful of songs. "Yeah that sounds great, I think we should do 'Sucker' and 'You Say' here today as well." Ginny adds, then Avery plans to choose the other songs once we choose our singers. "Agreed." Mikayla and Ginny smile. "Right girls makeup now." The hairdresser told them, Ginny, Mikayla, Avery and Hermione stood up and made their way over to the makeup station. "Now you just have choose who sings what." Avery nodded to Hermione's words. "We'll do that during shooting, when we're not modelling. Right now, I have to rewrite my songs into mashups." "No right now you need to sit still so I don't mess up your face." The cosmetic director warned Mikayla, who followed her orders instantly.
