Into The Light (Golden Trio Era) {2}

As she stormed away from Harry and Hermione, she felt her anger double hearing a familiar tune.

Weasley is our King,
Weasley is our King,
He didn't let the Quaffle in,
Weasley is our King...    

Mikayla furrowed her eyebrows and slowed her pace in confusion, did she miss hear the lyrics, she waited from the next verse

Weasley can save anything,
He never leaves a single ring
That's why Gryffindors all sing: 
Weasley is our King.

Mikayla gasped at the change in lyrics, she came to a stop. "No!" Hermione said in disbelief behind Mikayla. "YES!" Harry looked directly at Mikayla and yelled, Mikayla spotted a certain red head on the shoulders of fellow Gryffindors.  "WE WON!" Mikayla grabbed Harry by the shoulders and shook him.  "HARRY! MIKAYLA! HERMIONE!" Ron called from the shoulders of almost the entire Gryffindor house, the silver Quidditch cup in his hand.  "WE DID IT! WE WON!"  They beamed at him as he passed, his smile was large and his cheeks were tinged pink from the attention  The crowd made their way through to the entrance hall, clogging it for a moment with their numbers, but eventually all got through and continued their singing throughout the school. Mikayla watched them as they went, bouncing Ron upon their shoulders and praising him.

As the words to "Weasley is our King" faded and eventually became discernible from the other sounds that filled the castle halls, our grins too faded and they returned to reality where everything was not silver cups and cheers.  "We'll save our news till tomorrow, shall we?" Harry said awkwardly. The girls nodded solemnly, not wanting to ruin Ron's victory. And so, they climbed the steps to the castle to return to the Gryffindor common room.

With the lack of the twins, Mikayla and Lee volunteered to be on food and drink duty. Mikayla grabbed her money, and Lee led the way to the one eye witch. Mikayla looked at the Marauders map to ensure no teachers were around, she gave Lee a nod and he opened the passage way. Mikayla and Lee rush through the tunnel, Lee tripped over a root and pulled Mikayla down with him to hitting the muddy floor. "Are you ok?" Mikayla asked Lee as she bursted out laughing, Lee reddened in embarrassment, "I'm fine, I should be asking you that." He starts to laugh at Mikayla's laugh and for a solid five minutes they pair laid on the ground, on the verge of tears and settling themselves as they hysterically laughed. Lee was the first to get back up, he then helped Mikayla off the ground. They rushed this time with their wands lit avoiding roots or stones, "you're all muddy now." Lee points out with a whisper as they appear under Honeydukes, they sneak out to the shop and being browsing. "Bertie Botts?" Mikayla asks Lee wiggling a box in front of him. "Yeah, get two boxes." Mikayla nodded picking two boxes, she payed and the pair made their way to the three broomsticks.

When Mikayla and Lee returned, the party was in full swing of music and chatter. Mikayla told Lee to go have fun that she'll set up the table. "Peppy!" Mikayla called for her old house elf, "hey Peps, could you bring us some sweets and cakes from the kitchen?" Peppy saluted Mikayla making her laugh before she disapparated. Mikayla magicked a table cloth and bowls onto a table, she began to distribute the sweets. Once she had finished, filling a table with drinks, Peppy and Dobby arrived with cakes, Mikayla put them on the sweet table, before kneeling to the height of the house elf's. "Thanks you two." Mikayla handed each of them five sickles. The two elves hugged Mikayla before they left.

Mikayla was still a little upset with Hermione for what she said about Hagrid, so she found Ginny in a corner. Mikayla took a seat next to Ginny on the couch, "I did it." Ginny turned to Mikayla making her look at the red head in confusion, "broke up with Michael. He was whining about Cho and losing." Mikayla nodded before summoning two butter beers into her hands, non-verbally. She handed one to Ginny, they cheers playfully before taking a swig of a butter beer. "Anyways I think I might be going for Dean." Ginny mumbled, Mikayla gasped and showed Ginny a toothy smile. "Oh, I've also got some news about Fred..."

"WHAT?!" Ginny yelled causing a lot of the surrounding Gryffindors look at the pair weirdly. Mikayla nodded, "now, we're not 'together' because Fred was leaving and we didn't see the point of starting a relationship when he was leaving Hogwarts." Ginny nodded ecstatic with the news of Mikayla and Fred recoupling. "I was hoping you two get back together." Ginny smiled before wrapping Mikayla in a hug, "that way you'd be my sister for real." Mikayla awed at Ginny's truth. Mikayla spotted that Harry and Ron were talking animated whilst Hermione looked upset. "Come on let's join the others." Mikayla stood up, offering her hand to Ginny to be helped standing up. The pair walked together their arms link, and as they walked pasted Seamus and Dean, the girls came to the stop. "Alright boys?" Mikayla smiles at the pair, "Grand Mikayla." Seamus smiles, Dean however seem to interested in talking to Ginny. "You were amazing today Ginny." The red head blushed at Dean's compliment, whilst Mikayla and Seamus shared a knowing look. Mikayla and Seamus stepped away from Dean and Ginny, allowing them to speak to one another. "What about you Seamus? Got your eyes set on anyone?" Seamus took a few sips of his drink, clearing trying to figure out if he should say anything. "Lavender Brown..." he whispers, Mikayla smiles, "really?" He nods, "you need to talk to her, and I can see if she's interested." Mikayla and Seamus approach Parvati and Lavender.

"Hello ladies." Mikayla smiles, Lavender goes to respond before she saw that Seamus was there. "Hello, Mikayla can I speak to you privately for a minute?" Mikayla nodded walking away from Seamus and Lavender with Parvati. "I wanted to ask you something about Avery." Mikayla nodded asking Parvati to ask away, "would you be ok if I asked her out?" Mikayla furrowed her eyebrows before laughing lightly, "yes, of course I would. Why wouldn't I?" Parvati exhaled with relief, "well you're very protective over her and I know you're ok with the whole Lesbian thing but I wanted to make sure I wasn't overstepping." Mikayla laughed shaking her head no, giving Parvati a hug, "welcome to the family Patil, just a warning, we're all nutters." Parvati began laughing with Mikayla. She skipped away happily to tell Lavender the news, Seamus congratulated her as well, Mikayla sent him a thumbs up, before joining Ron, Harry and Hermione.

"And I thought my days of matchmaker were over." Mikayla sighed flopping onto the couch next to Ron. "Oh who?" Hermione asked, Mikayla smiled and began whispering the pairings, Hermione squealed, giggle and when I told her about Parvati, "finally." The boys looked at the girls confused. Mikayla decided to be a little mischievous, "so Hermione, I want to make you my last client of my matchmaking career, and I think I've got the perfect boy in mind." She winked at Hermione who blushed, "who is it?" Ron asked rather loudly making Mikayla chuckle, "it's none of your business Ronald who I set Hermione up with." Mikayla snapped in a playful manner. "Unless..." Mikayla drops to a whisper, "do you want me to set you up with Hermione?" Ron chokes on the cauldron cake he was eating savagely. Mikayla started laughing maniacally at Ron's reaction, Harry joins in with her whilst Hermione and Ron blush madly.
