Dinner Party

The pair faked being discouraged as they did a 'walk of shame' to the house, with Molly behind them. Once they were close, Mikayla and Ron shared a nod, Mikayla went for Fred and Ron went for George, grabbing them into a hug. Fred tried to buck Mikayla off, like a bull bucks it's rider, but Mikayla had a strong grip. She heard a fit of laughing coming from all their guests as Fred and George scream trying to escape. Mikayla and Ron let go simultaneously, shared a high five, bowing to their audience before racing upstairs to get a shower first.

Mikayla reached the shower considering that Ron's room was on the top floor, she wasn't long in the shower, scrubbing herself clean and washing her hair since it was flattened by chicken shit. Once she was done, she got into a black jeans and white string top. She braided her hair into two boxer braids. She threw her clothes into the laundry basket before leaving the bathroom allowing Ron to clean himself. Mikayla slipped on her slippers as well as a black cardigan as it was colder than she anticipated. When she returned outside, everyone were seated along the tables and having mini conversations. Molly was talking to the boys about how well the shop is doing, Moody, Remus, Tonks and Arthur were discussing who might replace Fudge now that he's resigning once they find him a replacement. Ginny and Avery were talking to Bill about what he misses about Egypt and Fleur well she looked a little put out, as no one was conversing with her, as much as Bill was trying to involve her in his discussion with girls.

Mikayla sat beside Fleur, and an empty seat which was reserved for Ron. "Tu vas bien? Tu as l'air contrarié." Mikayla ask Fleur if she's ok as she seems upset, "J'ai l'impression que tout le monde ici me déteste." She explains that she feels like everyone here hates her. Mikayla goes on to explain to Fleur in French that the Weasley family is very territorial, and that they just need to get used to her, she goes on to explain that the Weasley's feel like she's stealing Bill away from them and that they won't see him as much when he marries her, which she thinks is absolutely rubbish. "Merci, Mikayla. Il est vraiment utile de savoir que j'ai plus que Bill de mon côté." Fleur thanks Mikayla, informing her that it's nice to know someone other than Bill is on her side. "Ne vous inquiétez pas, ils grandiront pour vous aimer." Mikayla tells her not to worry and that the Weasley's will grow to love her.

When Ron sits down, Mrs Weasley stands up asking the twins and Bill to assist her in bringing the food out. "You two smell a lot fresher." Remus chuckles at the memory of Ron and Mikayla's previous state, "so who started it?" Ginny questioned, "Ron did." Mikayla threw her friend under the bus, who chuckled remembering the shock on the blonde's face. "Who finished it?" Avery questioned, Ron looked to make sure Mrs Weasley wasn't in earshot, "mum." "What Ron?" Mrs Weasley's voice sounded from directly behind him, "nothing mum, just talking about the incident earlier." Molly nods returning to her seat, "Ah yes, the one where you and Mikayla were rolling around in muck and poop like two happy pigs." Mikayla stifled a laugh, hiding her face from Mrs Weasley by looking down at the table, "the very one." Ron replied with a hint of cheekiness to him.

Once her giggles had subsided, Mikayla looked up to see mash potatoes, turkey and ham, stuffing, gravy and lots of colourful vegetables. She began to fill her plate once Mrs Weasley gave the table the green light, Mikayla grabbed the potatoes, placing two scoops on her plate before handing it to Bill who was asking for it, Mikayla grabbed two slices of Turkey and one slice of ham, she got two spoon fulls of stuffing, a spoon of carrots, peas and onions as well a bit of cabbage, Mikayla then poured gravy over her meal before digging in. The group didn't talk whilst eating, they were occupied to the deliciousness of a meal made by Molly Weasley, the best cook Mikayla has ever encountered. It was almost like the amount of love she put into her cooking transcended into the food itself and it shared its love with their mouths and tummy's. Mikayla started a conversation once they had both finished before the others once again being compared to pigs today by Mrs Weasley. They spoke about nothing in particular, just about OWL results, parties and thoughts about the Fergal's trial. Mikayla never realised how much she missed just random chats with Ron, how they transitioned to different topics with the strangest of segue, it was quite laughable.

When dinner was over Mikayla pulled Avery to the side as everyone else was finishing their pudding. She explained how she was feeling to her sister about the amount of work they took on, and how guilty she feels about basically abandoning Ron for the summer, all to keep busy and ignore her dad's death. Avery listened to Mikayla's every world, making sure to give her sister comfort through shoulder hugs and smiles, "we'll talk to the boys together, we'll explain what's going on and I'm sure they won't mind, after all your mental health is more important that shifts you work this summer and the twins love you so much that they'll understand that." Mikayla smiled at Avery's reaction, she was a little worried about talking to the twin because she didn't want to disappoint them, having Avery there will make it a lot easier.

"Are you two ok?" Ron questions once he reaches the girls, after they had been gone from the table for ten minutes. Mikayla smiled at her friend, "yeah I was just filling Avery in about my thoughts with working and how I want to speak to the twins about it and fix it." Ron nodded, Mikayla could tell Ron was holding back a happy smile about her spending more time with him, "if you want I can be there for some moral support." Before Mikayla could answer, Avery did telling Ron that was a great idea for him to be there. "We'll do it in my room, that way no one will interrupt us. You two go ahead up, and I'll bring the boys up the second they're done their pudding." Ron plans, the girls agree with him heading up to the room.
