Harry has spent everyday since being released from the Hospital Wing in bed. He hasn't eaten since the dinner for Sirius' memorial, though he did get cleaned up and changed into clean clothes. He wouldn't talk to any of his roommates. And while Mikayla too was quiet about it, she still made my way around the castle and forced herself to go to every meal. When the information came out in the Daily Prophet that Sirius was dead, and that his name had been cleared, Mikayla was getting a lot of sympathetic looks and apologises for her loss, but a handful of people still tried to discuss it with her.

But no one saw much of Harry after it happened. Mikayla too had been avoiding him a little, not knowing how he'd be, and if she was honest with herself she was a little afraid of him after what happened in Dumbledore's office. On June 25th, the day after her breakdown, Mikayla finally mustered up the guts to talk to Harry. She knocked on Harry's dormitory door and when she got no answer, she sighed deeply, her hands shook as she slowly grasped the door handle and turned the knob before pushing the door open and entering the room.

Harry's four poster's curtains were drawn closed, the room was rather dark, Mikayla closed the door behind her and began to open the curtains to allow light into the room. She rolled back her shoulders out of nervousness before slowly pulling the curtains open off Harry's bed, "will you come to lunch?" She asked softly as Harry entered her view. Harry was laid on his stomach, the sheets and comforter on his bed jumbled into a mass with which he poorly covered himself. "Leave me alone," Harry said bluntly, his face buried in his pillow. Mikayla sighed and disregarded his request. "You need to eat something..." She pleaded, "you'll get ill." Mikayla remembered what happened to her during last summer, being given a menu to ensure she ate enough to get her weight up to a healthy place. Mikayla decided to take a seat at the foot of Harry's bed, looking at him with nothing but pity towards his broken looking self.

"Please Harry, rejoin the living," Mikayla begged although she immediately regretted her choice of words, as it made her chest ache of heart break. "Can't I mourn? He was my only family left," Harry gave a great sigh into his pillow. "Of course you can mourn Harry, but starving and isolating yourself from everyone isn't healthy." Mikayla told him, as she tilted her head to try and make eye contact with Harry. "I had thought that you'd be just as upset now that your dad is dead. Why aren't you upset?" There was a twang of venom in Harry's voice. "Who said I'm not upset?" Mikayla asked defensively.

Harry flipped around so that he was laying on his back, so he could take in Mikayla's appearance, she was still in a sling, and the bags under her eyes were a deep purple colour. "You don't look upset, in fact you actually look normal." Mikayla scoffed at Harry's words, "Is every emotion I've felt over the past week invalid now? Because I don't look upset!" Mikayla yelled as she stood up, "the fact that every time I close my eyes I see his face as he disappeared into that veil?" Mikayla threw her left arm into the air angrily as her voice raised. "You're able to walk around like nothing has happened, you were able to sing in front of the school and sleep at night!" Harry yelled, Mikayla pulled the pillow out from in under his head, "Hey!" He shouted, as he propped himself up with his arms. "I haven't slept since Saturday!" She informed him, "I walk around to clear my mind from the pain of losing him!" She shouted, Mikayla was now fuming, "AND YOU DARE TO SAY I'M NOT UPSET." She began hitting Harry with his own pillow, he pushed himself up quickly, grabbing a hold of the pillow and discarding it behind him as he approached Mikayla.

Mikayla backed away from him in fear as he looked like he was about to explode, "YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, HE WAS THE ONLY FAMILY I HAD LEFT!" Harry yelled in Mikayla's face as her back made contact with the wall behind her, Harry was inches away from her face, Mikayla snapped, she tackled him to the ground. "Don't understand? DON'T UNDERSTAND!" She yelled as she did so, she began to slam her left fist against Harry's arms that protected his face, Harry flipped them over and pinned Mikayla to the ground. Mikayla was struggling violently against Harry's hold, "How dare you say I'm not upset! How dare you mope around every day as if being dead right now would be any better, how dare you act like sadness is a competition. You don't have the right to act like this!" Mikayla shouted, her fists clenched as tight as they could, as Mikayla stopped fighting Harry's hold.

"I'm sorry that I don't see the point in living anymore! That I lost the last piece of family I have left!" Harry yelled at Mikayla angrily, before he let go of her and stood up, Mikayla pulled herself up into a seating position on the bed. "Harry, we both lost him." Mikayla's voice broke into a gentle volume. The atmosphere changed drastically from anger to sadness, "and I know that it's my fault that he's gone..." Mikayla whispered as she looked down at the ground fighting back tears, "how was it your fault? If anything it was my fault I was the one who let Voldemort lure me to the Ministry." Harry took a seat next to Mikayla, she knew this as the bed sunk and his feet came into her view. "I could've just stunned Fergal, knock him unconscious but no, I had to do more, I could've blocked him, it should've been me.."

Mikayla stood up, and began walking towards the door, she froze after she opened the door she turned to look at Harry, "And honestly Harry, I don't know how I can go on, but I do. I do because I know how disappointed Sirius would be if we threw our lives away now because we lost him. Harry you need to realise you have more family than you think, and if you died I wouldn't be able to go on without you. You're my brother Harry, more now than ever, I just want to keep you safe, it's what he would've wanted, it's what he died for."

Mikayla left Harry alone with her words as she made her way down to the Great Hall for Lunch with Ron and Hermione. "I heard a lot of yelling, is everything ok between you two?" Hermione questioned as they made their way down the marble staircase, "let's just say that we both said a few things that we shouldn't have, and I left him with some food for thought," Mikayla explained without going into detail, "and I don't think Harry will be joining us at the end of year feast tonight." Mikayla admitted as the trio took a seat at the Gryffindor table, Avery joined them for lunch today, and by them, I meant wanted to eat lunch with her girlfriend and the trio just happened to be there.
