27- Where To Next?

"So, what's the plan?" Laurance asked, trailing behind as I look at the new world around me.

"What?" I reply, not really paying attention.

"You were the one who wanted to come here, right? So, we're here. What's our next step?"

"What do you mean?" I answered, "Didn't you want to come here too? Do what you had planned; I want to look around."

"I don't have anything planned. I'm only here for you. I don't want to be here."

Finally looking at him, I said, "The hell you mean you don't want to be here? This used to be your home. Surely you want to do something? see something?"

"No, not really. The quicker we get Zane back to the Nether with Shads relic the better."

"What, why?" I asked, "This was your home. Your family is here. You're just passing up this opportunity to see your sister again? Heck, you might even see Aphmau. We all know how much you love her."

"Well, yeah, I guess I am. I don't want to see the people I knew because I don't want to go back to them. I'm with the Shadow Knights now, with you." he explained but then gave me a sceptical glance, "How do you know about Aphmau?"

"I don't know." I said, is this something from my past? "Oh my Iren- Shad, do I know you since before I died?"

"Maybe," Laurance replied, "but then why don't I remember you?"

I gasped, "Maybe I was that thing you suppressed and drew you back to the Nether!"

"That would be stupid, you're not really worth suppressing."

Oh, um, ouch?

Before I got to shout at him, he continued. "But it makes sense," he admitted, "it might be the reason why I've been feeling the emotions Shadow Knights shouldn't have."

I gave him a weird look and smirked, cocking an eyebrow. "like what?"

"Not like that, idiot. You wish." he sighed, "Tell me, ever since you got to the Nether have you felt truly happy, like you could do anything in the world?"

I thought back. He was right. I mean yeah there were times I was having fun, but there was always a quick end to it. I had never properly laughed until...

"No." I mumbled, looking down at my feet.

"Laurance?" a woman's voice said from behind me, I turned around to see a pretty girl with fire-like hair. When she saw me her eyes widened even more and she gasped, leaving herself speechless.

I turned back to face Laurance, "Who's this? One of your old side bitches?"

"That's my sister, you perv. Y'know, the Lord of Meteli? You were her guard."

And just like that, memories came pouring back in. We were seriously this close? Wow. Hold on-

"so yeah, I really think you'd like Laurance, he's a flirt like you."

"Didn't seem too flirty to me,"

So I DID know him before I died. But where?

"Y/n, I thought you..." Cadenza breathed, pulling me out of my own thoughts, "I thought you died." she began to cry, feeling my arms to try and make sure I'm not a ghost, then looking and Laurance and held his face to do the same thing. "I don't even know what happened to you!" she slapped him and began shouting, "You just disappeared. Why did you run off? Where did you go!?"

She began to draw attention to us, and Laurance had realised as well. He grabbed my wrist and began to run off. Without saying anything to Cadenza, he told me, "We gotta go."

"Right." I agreed, running along side him, "Where to next?"

"Phoenix drop, duh."

Another short chapter but oh well.

I'm also making a Kageyama x reader (from haikyuu) and I have a really good idea for it but it also makes me very mad at myself and idk what I should do.

But then I remember my obssession with Angel Beats! And then I'm like ok let's do it.

But then wouldn't that be a really stupid cross over?

Who cares, ok I'm doing it.

Soz for the rant I needed to make up my mind.
