You read through the fiftieth time. Alex had sent you the message almost an hour ago and yet Kara hadn't told you. It made you worry about Kara and how him coming back would not be good for her. Mon-El had seriously done a number on Kara with the way the two of them left things and it had taken months for Kara to get past what had happened. Now that he was back, there was no way of guessing to what feelings he would bring.
'I'm on my way. How is she?'
'She's still processing that he's back. I'll update you if anything changes.'

You arrive at the DEO to find Kara talking to Mon-El quietly. It looked like they were in a heated discussion but then stopped as the two of them just looked at each other. Mon-el moved in closer as if he was going to kiss her and that's when you cleared your throat to let them know that you were here.
"(y/n), I..."
"Save it, Kara. I'm sorry for interrupting the two of you."
You turned around and walked back to the elevator, only to be stopped by Kara as she sped to stand in front of you.
"I can explain, things just got strange with Mon-El. I thought he was dead but now he's back."
"What I'm hearing is that you still have feelings for your ex."
Her eyes widen and she shakes her head rapidly.
"No! No, I've gotten over him. I love you, (y/n). I only have eyes for you."
"So then why did I walk in there and see the two of you almost kiss? Had I not said something, you would've actually done it."
"We never broke up! We said never said goodbye's, simply said it as a see you later. I gave him my mom's necklace because I thought he was the one. I never got any closure other than his death. Now that he's back, everything changed."
You give her a smile and her the promise ring that she had given you almost a week ago. Never in your life had Kara ever talked to you like that.
"Then I think you should give this to him. You're not over him apparently. It doesn't matter that we've been dating for 2 months now."

You had turned around and sped off, not giving her a chance to chase after you. Not knowing where else to go, you flew to Lena's office.
