You struggled against the hold of the men and women that were trying to sedate you. The screams you were yelling were incomprehensible to them so they thought you were still under the effects of whatever the unsub have used on you. There was no way you could communicate with them as you needed your hands.
JJ rushes in when she notices the way you're moving your fingers while you continued to attempt to talk to them.
"Stop! She can't talk. Let her go."
The doctors quickly take a step back and you let out a sigh of relief. You give her a grateful smile and began to sign to them.
'I want to go home. I'm fine."
None of the doctors can understand sign language but JJ can.
"I'm sorry. They need to check that you're not under any effects of the drugs he gave you. You might also be dehydrated and malnourished."
You look towards the doctors, and try to make yourself as small as possible when you notice the men in the room. After what the man did to you, there was no way you could ever feel at ease with them. You closed your eyes and began to shake as you started to cry. JJ's eyes widen at the sudden change in moods. She moves to sit beside you, taking your hand in hers to try to comfort you.
"It's okay. You're safe. They're just trying to help you."
You open your eyes to find her trying to give you a comforting smile but it doesn't work. You wanted to go home, you didn't care if you weren't ready to do so.
'Please, I'd like to go home.'
JJ looks to the doctor in hopes that you might get released but he just shakes his head, to show that you weren't ready.
"What can I do to help you feel comfortable, (y/n)? I just want to help."
You quickly glance to one of the men and then to JJ.
'No men.'
"Okay, we can do that. Just give me a second."
She makes her way over to the doctor to let him know about the situation. He's understanding and leaves the room along with the male nurses. A few minutes later and a woman appears. You give JJ a grateful smile and let her check you.

The doctor had you rest for the rest of the day while you regained your strength. JJ stayed with you the entire time and it had surprised you. You had answered all her questions when the doctor had left the room. She had gotten enough information to catch the unsub but she stayed. Saying that her team would take care of the rest and that you needed her here more than them.
JJ was in the middle of telling you one of her stories when her phone rang and interrupted her.
"Hold on, that's my boss."
She answers the call and answers with a few 'mhm's' before thanking her boss and hanging up.
"They caught him. He was trying to get out of the state and one of the state troopers stopped him for speeding. The description you gave us helped identity him."
You can't help but be disappointed. Yes, it was a good thing that he was caught but that meant that you weren't' ever going to see JJ again. She lived out of state and had only come to town for the case, now that it was over, she was going home.
JJ takes notice of how you tried to hide your disappointment.
"Aren't you happy that he got caught."
'I am. I'm just a little disappointed that you're leaving."
JJ smiles and takes a seat besides you as she continues eating her food.
"Who said I was leaving?"
'You're not going back to DC?'
"Not yet, I still haven't told you when this guy pretend to work for the FBI. Plus, you promised to be my personal tour guide of the city. I can't pass up an opportunity like that."
You can't help but smile at her. She was too sweet and you couldn't wait to get out of the hospital to show her around.
