You weren't sure how long it's passed since you had been taken since the man kept you blindfolded and tied to a chair. Your entire body was aching from the constant beatings and it didn't help that he only fed you enough to barely keep you alive. You weren't sure how much longer you could take, the only thought keeping you alive was that JJ and the rest of the team would come save you.
"How does it feel to slowly lose hope? It's been almost a week and your wife is not any closer to finding you? I bet she already forgot about you like she forgot about my wife."
Like always, you stayed quiet as he ranted about JJ. All he was trying to do was make you lose and you weren't going to let him do so. You trusted JJ and the rest of the team to find you.
"Nothing to say? Why don't you start begging for your life? Agent Jareau is not going to come rescue. It's up to you to save yourself."
The man smiles widely when he sees you open your mouth to talk for the first time in days.
"Fuck. You."
You say as you spit at his feet. In anger, he backhanded you across the jaw. It hurt and you wanted to cry out in pain but you refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing you in pain. Instead of yelling, you bite down your lip hard enough to draw blood.
"Sooner or later, you're going to realize that Agent Jareau is not going to come save you but don't worry. I'll be here to spare you the pain that my wife must have felt when she gave up hope for any rescue."

JJ had trouble sleeping. If she did sleep, it was only for an hour or two before she was back on her feet and reviewing everything that the team found that day. The team had tried to get her to step back from the case but she refused saying that there was no way that she could just sit down and do nothing while your life was in danger.
Frustrated that they weren't any closer to finding you, she pulled out her phone to look at the last few pictures the two of you had taken. She shouldn't have dismissed your fears. If she hadn't, you would be in her arms, rather than whoever you currently were with. While looking through the pictures, she couldn't help but take notice of a man appearing in the background of most of the pictures. While everyone was minding their own business, it looked like the man was looking directly at the two of you. Figuring that it was worth a shot to see who this man, JJ sent the pictures to Garcia to analyze.
An hour later and the team had gathered back in the conference room with Garcia standing besides the tv.
"So, when I first received this pictures from JJ, I couldn't find this man anywhere. There was nothing on any of the databases for a record. His record was clean but I knew there must've been something that might have made him snap to take it out on JJ. I searched everything about him that could relate back to the BAU or JJ and nothing came up until I came across his wife's name. She was the woman that had given up hope just as we had found where they were keeping her. He lives an hour away from here. I've already sent the coordinates to your GPS."
"Lets go then."
Everyone filed out of the room and headed to the SUV's to head to his home. While on their way, Garcia had called the local sheriff to let him know what's going on and to be ready for when the team arrived.

JJ climbed out of the car and pulled the gun out of her holster to storm in with Emily and Spencer. Hotch steps in front of her, stopping her from following them in.
"You can't go in there, JJ. I've let you participate in this case but I can't let you join them. Your emotions might cause you to do something that might get you arrested and I can't let that happen. They'll bring her safe to you."
JJ sighed and nodded. Hotch was right. The entire trip to the man's house, all JJ could think about was hurting the man for taking you away from her. No doubt if she joined the team, that she might shoot him on sight.
At the sound of gunshots, JJ doesn' hesitate to unholster her weapon and rush to where the sound had come from. When she arrives at the scene, she finds Rossi with his gun pointed to the back of the man.
"He didn't want to stand down." He explains to her. "(y/n) is in there."
JJ rushes inside the barn house to find Emily and Spencer remove the bindings that the man had used to tie you down. Once they're done, JJ rushes in to give you tight hug, only for you to cry out in pain. JJ quickly lets you go, just keeping and arm around your waist to keep you from falling.
"I knew you would save me."
You whisper to her before passing out.

You wake up for the first time in a week without any pain, you knew it was possible because of the drugs that they must've been pumping in your system but you didn't care. You weren't dead. JJ had been outside, talking to Emily when she sees that you had woken up. Rushing inside the room, she gently pushes you back down on the bed.
"You need to take it easy. You might not feel any pain but that's because of the morphine."
You give her a small smile and fall back on the bed.
"I never lost hope, JJ. I knew you would rescue me."
JJ takes a seat besides you, taking your hand in hers.
"I'm sorry for not believing you. None of this would've happened if I should have just list...."
With your other hand, you press a finger against her lips to stop her from talking.
"I will not stand for you to blame yourself. Neither of us could have known that he had been stalking us for weeks."
"But you..."
"JJ.."
You warned. With the warning, JJ shuts her mouth. She would keep quiet for now so you could rest but no doubt that the two of you would talk about this when you weren't in the hospital anymore. Feeling safe, you closed your eyes and fell asleep. JJ let her head rest against your thigh and for the first time in days, she was able to sleep more than a few hours.
