"Dr. (l/n)! You need to help her"
You motioned for Clark to lay down Diana on the bed as you looked down at the dagger that was sticking out of her stomach. Diana wasn't conscious for the fact that she was losing blood to quickly and that wasn't good. You needed to pull out the dagger, assess the damage and make sure you stitched everything back up.
"You need to wait outside, Clark."
He tried to fight you on it but one of the nurses led him out while you began to give orders to save Diana's life. The only reason why her heart was even beating at this moment was the fact that she was a demi-goddess, thus giving her a greater chance at survival but you weren't 100% sure. You wanted to break down and cry over the fact that she was near death but the doctor in you forced you to concentrate and heal her.

Diana's heart rate picks up as she awakes when you're all preparing for surgery. The nurses try to calm her down but that just makes Diana panic even more.
"Let me go! I need to talk to (y/n)!"
"Diana! Please lay down! You have a dagger in your stomach, that's holding everything together. Lay back down and let the nurses do their job."
Diana is relieved to see you in your room. She was pale and looked like she was seconds away from passing out but she refused to lay back down. All that mattered to her was revealing her true feelings for her and she didn't care if it would cost her, her last breath.
"I need to tell you something."
You walked over to her, hoping you could convince her to listen to you so you could start the surgery as soon as possible. Life or death could literally be determined by seconds during surgery.
"Lay down and you can tell me whatever it is that you wish to tell me."
Satisfied that you were going to listen to her, Diana laid down. The nurses let out a sigh of relief and continued to finish the last steps to start the surgery.
"I don't have much time left and while I don't doubt your abilities, I fear that you might be too late...."
"Diana, don't say that. You have the best team at your disposal."
Diana smiles and nods.
"I just wanted to tell you that I love you. I've loved you ever since I came in here so you could do my physical that Bruce insisted for everyone to do."
You chuckled quietly as you remembered how mad everyone had been about the whole thing. Diana seemed to be the only one who was happy about it, even returning hours later because she was interested about the results of her physical were. It's how the two of you struck a friendship.
"Diana, you can't just say that after telling me that it's too late to save you."
Diana weakly grips your hand, caressing the back of it with her thumb while looking up at you.
"You know how I am."
A nurse interrupts the two of you, letting you know that it was time to begin with the surgery.
You leaned down to press a kiss on Diana's kiss, making her smile even wider. She didn't care if she died at this moment. She was content.
"I'm not letting you die on my watch. Especially not after you revealed to me that you also return my feelings."
Diana heart nearly burst with happiness as she heard you tell her that you felt the same way about her.
"Does that mean that you..."
"Yes. I love you too, Diana."
You interrupted her. Motioning for the anesthesiologist to begin, you finished dressing up for surgery.
"I love you, (y/n)..."
You hear her tell you as the anesthesiologist begins the countdown.

Diana wakes up to find herself looking up at you. You looked drained and minutes away from falling asleep but the one thing that was clearly present was your bright smile.
"I told you that I wasn't going to let you die."
"I know. I knew that since the beginning."
She coughed, her throat clearly dry after not drinking any liquids since a few hours ago. Standing up, you place a cup of water in front of her with a straw. Diana gives you a grateful smile as she takes large sips of it.
"Dying was what gave me the courage to tell you how I felt."
"You're so lucky that I'm good at my job or else I would've begged the gods to bring you back to life just so I can kill you for scaring me like that."
"I am forever sorry, (y/n). My life was in good hands and I trusted that you would keep me alive. I just felt that thinking that I would die would give me the courage to tell you how I felt and it did."
You roll your eyes at her, not believing that this was the same woman that's traveled to the underworld several times and faced gods on a war path.
"You're unbelievable. You know that. You're so lucky that I think you're cute and that I'm in love with you."
"Oh yeah, well how about I start making it up to you by taking you out on a date."
"I might consider forgiving you, depending as to where you'll take me."
"How about paradise itself?"
