Song: Think About Us by Little Mix and Ty Dolla $ign
Chapter Seventy-five: Let's just say I'm psychic
>>>>Zane's POV<<<<
It's been exactly a week and one day since the night Cherry's been kidnapped and the cops hadn't made any progress in finding her. It was the Thursday of the next week and it was her birthday.
I had been sitting in my room for the past week not leaving to eat or do anything. Just crying and checking the news for updates. There were days that Rev or Shay and Shane or Xander and the rest would come see me, but I still won't move. They looked as bad and affected as me. I had only eaten about three times in the past week. My stomach wasn't ready for any food, but Rosita kept sending to me. I was occasionally checking the news to see if anything came up, but there was no improvement in the search. There was nothing I could do because I had been ban from the only place I knew to check for her.
School started on Monday and no doubt everyone was talking about the missing Charvi Brooks. I couldn't go there and I doubt any of her friends and family could too. We were all staying in. The impact that she had on all of us was irreplaceable and here I was doing nothing to find her, but what could I do? I mean professional police officers couldn't find her so how could I?
I was just so sad that today was her eighteenth birthday and she was lost somewhere in the world without anyone she loved. I decided to leave the house today to go meet her family.
I took a shower and got ready. I went down the stairs and when I opened the front door, I was surprised to see Jayden. Before I could react, he opened his mouth and uttered three words I have wanted to hear in the past week, "I have news."
I stepped aside for him to enter. "I hope it gives me a reason not to rearrange your face."
He turned to me, "I know everyone hates my brother, but it's really not fair to take it out on me. We are two different people."
"I hate the both of you."
"Why?"
I slammed the door shut. "Why? Why? You tricked her into thinking he was no longer interested in her so I could let her go out herself."
"I didn't do that. He tricked me."
I pushed him against the wall and held him in place by his collar. "Where is she?"
"I am not talking to you like this." He said as he glared at me.
I left him and stepped aside. "Today is her birthday and she is there, alone. When I see your brother I'm going to kill him."
"No. We have to get her out without my brother being there. And we have to be fast, if the cops see me, they're going to take me down to the station for questioning."
Well, that explains the big cap.
"What's the plan?"
"I know where she is. I spoke to her yesterday. I have access there when my brother isn't around, but I can't take her out without any of his workers noticing so I took, more like stole, the sleeping gas my brother kept in case of emergencies. I stole one of every key where he usually keeps it."
"If you could do all this, where have you been since?"
"I wasn't in town. I went home. That doesn't matter now because there is one flaw in the plan."
"What is it?"
"My brother is wanted everywhere. How do we make him leave?"
I thought for a while. "I have an idea."
