Chapter 2

Two Months later: School was going okay. I've been getting closer to my friends. I'm comfortable with them now, but from time to time we would have awkward moments.

My alarm woke me the next morning and I packed my bag did a quick morning stretch took a shower got dressed and went downstairs to eat breakfast it was a mango and passion fruit smoothie it tasted really nice I got my bag from my room but stared at the number in my notepad for a while before packing it "Sierra come on you're gonna be late." my dad called "Sorry." I said and he dropped me off at school where I was stranded looking for someone and looking looking looking ha Ramin at three o'clock I walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder "Morning!"

"Oh hi Sierra!" He said with a smile. "Hii Ramin!" I said. "Umm did you happen to see the number in your notepad?" He asked. "Yeah, what was that?" I asked him. "Oh.. ummm that was my number, so that you can call or text me whenever you need help." He explained. "Ohh okay! I thought it was some sort of prank you guys wanted to pull on me so I didn't want to call it.." I said "Really? It's fine though." He said then the bell rang "I guess we should be off to our first class." I said and we went to the first room. our first class together was English and of course we had to be reading Romeo and Juliet it's a good play it's just been overdone like so many times when we got the book I sighed "Hey what's wrong with this it's a classic love story?" he said "Ramin it happened over three days you can't fall in love in three days it's like impossible and extremely shallow plus every romance movie was probably based on this." I laughed which made him giggle too "We better get this worksheet done then." he said as we settled down and started the worksheet

After I finished I heard the bell ring. "Okay please pass your papers forward." our teacher said so we all passed it forward then went to our next class. "Math is that way right?" I asked him. "Yes it is, you're learning quick Sierra" he said "Thank you kind sir." I said then we were off to Math class. We saw Hadley sitting alone and not as cheerful as normal. "Hey Hadley!" I said as I sat beside him. "Hi Guys!" He said with a tired smile. "What's wrong?" Ramin asked. "Oh it's nothing, I just didn't get enough sleep." He said and yawned. Then our teacher entered. She looked terrifying like one of those really strict librarians but worse she wore her hair in a slick bun and her whole outfit was black I took my seat next to Ramin and the whole class was forced to just work in complete silence I finished before Ramin so I let him copy my answers and I just sat there wondering why he gave me his number in the first place no one else had it was probably planning to it was maybe because I was kinda smart he probably just wanted answers for homework we passed our papers forward and went off to break

Ramin and Hadley said they needed to talk about something and they would meet me in the cafeteria with the others so I left and set them off. It was kinda scary walking alone. I saw Mandy and Tam going to the cafeteria so I snuck behind them. "Hey guys!" I said "Oh hey Sierra!" Tam said "Hi Sierra, where are the others?" Mandy asked "Oh, Ramin and Hadley had to talk about something so they said they would meet us in the cafeteria." I explained. "Oh okay! So how was class?" She asked "It was good the Science teacher looks very scary." I said as we reached our table and took our seats I sat down and put my bag on the floor but held my jumper so it covered my stomach "Sierra how are you finding the school then?" Tam asked "ummm well I have only been here for two days but it seems to be alright" I said tucking a strand of hair between my ear then Ramin and Hadley came to sit down and I totally relaxed Ramin sat on my left and Hadley opposite me "Sorry we just had to talk about something." Hadley told us "What?" I asked he looked at Ramin then looked at me "Bro code." he said what was bro code was that even a thing it sounds ridiculous "Bro code?"

"Bro code like girl code? I thought you guys had no respect for each other.. I guess I thought wrong. Maybe because that's how they were in my old school. Nevermind about that." I said and they all stared at me like I was crazy. Then I started laughing so they just joined along. that was awkward anyways "hey everyone I'm throwing a party and I was wondering if you'd all like to come." Mandy asked everyone nodded well everyone but me I couldn't go not what happened last time "I'm not really a party person." I said "Come on Sierra it will be fun if it makes you feel better I'll stay with you the whole time." Ramin said which made me feel a little bit better but still what if he was lying that's what the other boys said and then it happened and they didn't listen to me "ummm I'm not sure."
