PAGLINGON namin ni Mason ay nakita namin ang Arcane Lord na nakaupo sa floor. Hawak niya ang tagiliran niya na may tila saksak ng patalim.

"Riku, what the fuck are you doing here?" tanong ni Mason sa kanya.

"Good to see you too, Mason. Can you get the first aid kit on the top shelf cabinet? My mortal wounds are killing me," sabi ng Arcane Lord sabay turo sa cabinet.

Mabilis ko itong binuksan at kinuha ang isang glass box na may laman na medical kit. Inangat niya ang kanyang shirt at isang hiwa na malapit sa kanyang tagiliran.

"You are not answering me, Riku. Why are you here?"

"Damn it, Mason! After all our bonding moments in Bordeaux, do you think I have something to do with this? I just went here as I felt a breach in the Citadel! Hindi ko naman akalain na aatakihin ako ni Hagel. He fucking sliced my stomach! I have no choice but to run like a coward as I have no power in this place."

"Si Provost Hagel po ang sumaksak sa'yo? Kausap lang po namin siya kanina ah?"

"Hailey, the Provost is no longer himself. He can wield dark magic in this place. Again, a breach in the Citadel. I guess he did not expect my arrival, that is why he went berserk!"

Hinubad ng Arcane Lord ang kanyang shirt at ipinasak sa bibig niya saka ibinuhos isang bote ng antiseptic sa sugat niya. Kinuha niya ang isang surgical stapler ay mabilis na nilagyan ang hiwa para ito sumara.

"Hailey, would you be so kind as to put a bandage on my wound? Your boyfriend looks like he is about to strangle me alive," hinihingal na tanong ni Riku sa akin.

Sinunod ko naman siya ang nilagyan ng antibacterial ointment at dressing ang sugat niya. Kadalasan ay healing technique lang ang gamit ng mga wizard kung meron silang sugat.

"What breach are you talking about?" tanong ni Mason habang binubuksan ang ilang sterile gauze pads.

"Shinjiro Nakamura is one of the founders of Citadel of the Sky. He created a device that will warn the current Arcane Lord if there have been any major breaches in the Citadel of the Sky. Provost Hagel knows about it. He knows I will arrive here the moment a breach will happen. So I can only guess I am not facing the real Hagel. The old man will not even attempt to lay a finger on me."

"Mason, baka nasa loob ni Provost Hagel si Ahabaddon? Baka siya ang pumatay sa citadel guard na nagbabantay kay Maiko?"

Mabilis na ipinaliwanag ni Mason sa Arcane Lord ang tungkol sa marka ni Ahabaddon sa kamay ko. Na-kwento din niya na nakaligtas si Mason sa The Void at napunta sa ibang panahon.

"That is fucking cool, man. Your siblings are damn great wizards. What school are they affiliated again?" tanong ni Riku sabay tingin sa akin.

Hindi alam ni Mason na alam na ni Riku ang tungkol sa mga Guardian parents niya.

"No wizard school of any sorts. They are affiliated with the Werewolf HQ in Canada. The Royal Heir can vouch for them."

"Eriksson? I heard about that guy. Badass immortal werewolf."

"So Riku, any idea kung anong breach ang nangyari? The emergency alarm set off when we were with the Provost in the Cube Room."

"Alam ba ni Hagel na pupunta kayo dito?"

"No, it was also a surprise visit, but we know that he is here as he served as Maiko's guardian."

"Well, I can only presume. Why don't we go to the control room to find out. Mason, give me a hand."
