CHAPTER 15 - ROOM

PAGKATAPOS kunin ni Mason ang mga gamit ko ay bumalik kami sa CRAM dorm. Wala doon si Maiko at si Thade, pero nandoon si Xyder at si Rayah na mukhang naghihintay sa akin.

"Rayah, cast a spell to conceal her choker," utos ni Mason.

"Uncle, para saan ang choker. Hindi ba masyado pang bata si Hailey para sa mga bondage? And what is she doing in your Cabin In The Woods?" tanong niya habang inaayos ang choker sa leeg ko.

"You know why she needs to stay with me during weekends. I trust both of you, but I don't want to shock Thade and Maiko."

"No worries, Uncle Mason. The secret of Ultima Incantatrix is safe with me and with me beshie. We will protect her at all cost. If we can no longer protect her, we can just kill her," sabi ni Rayah sabay tawa.

Her very own signature evil witch laugh.

Rayah touched my choker necklace and I could see her hand glowing as if magic was flowing from her hand. Within seconds, the choker disappeared on my neck.

"Ferrero? Like the expensive chocolate?"

Hinila ako ni Rayah sa harapan pader malapit sa fireplace. May door knob ito, pero walang kahit anong pinto. Parang isang doorknob lang na nakakabit sa pader.

"Here in CRAM, our rooms are basically protected by barrier magic. Only you can enter your room. Your palm will serve as a biometric lock on the door," sabi ni Rayah sabay nguso sa door knob.

"It means na bawal ang iyong boylet sa room. Bawal ang lampungan galore at walang sexy time sa dorm rooms," dagdag ni Xyder.

Kinuha niya ang kamay ko at inilagay sa door knob. Tulad ng nangyari kanina sa kamay ni Rayah, bahagyang umilaw din ang kamay.

"Tadah! That is your room. I am sorry if you don't like the pink color. That was my idea. If you want to change the colors, just let me know," sabi sa akin ni Rayah.

"No, it is great. Ganito din ang kulay ng kwarto ko sa bahay namin."

Nagpaalam na sa amin si Mason at pumasok ako mag-isa sa pink-themed room na parang kwarto ng isang Disney princess. Almost lahat ng gamit dito ay may touch of pink, except sa glossy marble-like floor.

Nagsimula kong ilabas ang mga magical pouch na nasa loob ng aking luggage bag at isa isa kong nilagay ang aking mga damit sa walk-in closet. Napaka-sossy ng CRAM dormitory dahil may sarili pa akong bathroom sa loob ng kwarto ko.

Pagbukas ko ng isang metallic pouch, may laman itong mga iba't ibang klaseng sapatos. May isang pouch din na may laman na toiletries at make-up.

Tama nga si Mason, lahat ng kailangan ko ay nandito.

Magbubukas pa sana ako ng isa pang pouch, pero napahawak ako sa puso ko nang makita ko si Mason na nakahiga sa kama.

"M-mason? Papatayin mo ba ko sa gulat? Paano ka nakapasok dito? Akala ko ba bawal ang tao dito?" nagtataka ko na tanong sa kanya.

"I told you, I am not human."

"Paano kung ma-detect ka ng CRAM school na nasa loob ng kwarto?"

"Why are you so concerned? Are you scared that I will be evicted in the school for disobeying the rules?"

"Hindi naman sa ganun, pero sabi ni Rayah, wala daw puwede pumasok sa kwarto ko kundi ako. Sabi mo din kanina, hindi ka puwede mag-teleport sa school grounds. It only means you cannot use your black smoke magic here."

"To answer your question, I used your choker necklace to get in here. And how can the school detect me if I am not in the system?"

"School system? Like you are not being monitored?"

"The Blood Compact is an enrollment process, but there is another reason for it. The Blood Compact is used to enter your full details in the school system. Your information, your magical capabilities, your location. CRAM is monitoring your every move, thanks to the Blood Compact," sagot ni Mason sabay tapik sa kama para maupo ako.

"Teka, hindi ba against 'yan sa privacy ko?"

"Eh bakit mo ko pinapa-pirma sa Blood Compact? Other witches may be able to gain access to your magical server and they may be able to discover that I am the ultimate witch!"

"That was your first test and you passed it. I already talked to Provost Hagel about the danger of putting you in the system and he agreed with me."

"Tinetest mo lang ako kung ipapatak ko ang dugo ko sa magical parchment paper?"

Ngumiti lang ako kay Mason at hinawakan ang kamay niya, pero nagulat ako ng tumagos ang kamay ko sa kanya. Sinubukan ko din hawakan ang kanyang braso, pero mukhang vivid 3D hologram lang ang nakikita ko.

"See you tomorrow, my dearest pet," nakangiti na sabi ni Mason bago tuluyan maglaho sa kama ko.

Shit! Akala ko pa naman katabi ko siya matulog!
