Gon pov

I finally made my way back to the reef, and I was exhausted. It was a pretty long swim from the beach that me and Kurapika had gone to. Due to that, I knew Aunt Mito was not going to be happy..

While swimming through the colorful rocks and sand, I gasped to see Kurapika at the entrance of my home. He leaned against the rocks and looked up when he heard my tail in the water. He seemed very stressed and afraid, but those emotions went away when he saw me.

"Gon! Oh thank goodness I thought you got captured!" Kurapika yelped with relief and hugged me close.

I was very confused when he said that.. didn't he see that I stayed at the beach for a bit longer?

"Wait, Kurapika I told you I was staying at the beach for a bit longer.." I say with a confused manner.

Kurapika then had me go in front of him and put his hands onto my shoulders. His eyes looked into mine with sadness.

"Gon... you were gone for hours.. don't even get me started on how worried your Aunt is.." Kurapika mentioned my worried aunt, causing my tail to droop.

"Oh... I'm sorry I shouldn't have been gone for so long.. but speaking of my aunt, where is she?" I asked.

Kurapika shrugged and leaned against the rocks again.

"She's been searching around for you, and she's notified everyone.. so let's just say you have a big mess to clean up." Kurapika stated harshly.

I sighed and suddenly heard a gasp. My body turned and I frowned when I saw my aunt crying like crazy.

"Gon!! You're ok! Thank goodness!! Where were you?!!" She sobbed and swam towards me rather quickly.

She embraced me tightly, and I hugged her back. She was shaking an awful lot, and it just made me feel even more guilty. Those humans intrigued me too much, and I lost sight of everything else. I shouldn't have done it..

"I'm so sorry aunt mito, I was... out at the beach with Kurapika earlier today in the afternoon. I was curious and..." I paused and I knew I had to lie, I couldn't mention the humans, "I wanted to do some exploring and I lost track of time.."

My aunt suddenly cried with anger now, and she scowled.

"Gon I told you not to leave the reef today! There were fisherman hunting around!" My aunt yelled with pure frustration.

I gulped and looked away from her eyes.

"I-I'm sorry... I just hate staying cooped up here.." I say and my aunt calmed a little, but still had anger inside.

"Gon I... I'm sorry but you have to stay here most days because of humans being selfish and cruel. You need to understand that they aren't what you think..." my aunt sighed then looked to Kurapika, "Kurapika I expected more from you.. you shouldn't have taken him out there today." My aunt stated directly.

Kurapika frowned and looked just as guilty as I did.

"I'm sorry Mito, I should have been more responsible. Especially since Gon was under my supervision.." Kurapika apologized sincerely to my aunt and I frowned yet again.

Mito sighed and smiled a little after Kurapikas apology.

"I forgive you Kurapika, I was just so worried for you both.. I wouldn't want you two getting into danger. So next time please stay away from the beach if humans are present." My aunt said and we both agreed, "alright it looks like things are settled.. Kurapika why don't you head home, the water is getting cold up here."
