Gon pov

I groaned and felt waves of pain go through my body. Damn I really made a mistake. Why did I think I could actually take those things on alone?! Was it my anger? My longing for revenge? Or was it my predator instincts.. who knows.

I opened my eyes slowly though, seeing a dark cave ceiling above me. Well it looks like Biskey and the others had found shelter again which is good. Suddenly my neck screamed in pain, making me Yelp. I could barely breathe, the wound on my neck had damaged my gills way too much... I can probably heal it over the next few days with some tricks kite taught me, but I'm not sure.

I coughed from the lack of oxygen in the water, and blood clouded around me. I had to close my eyes again due to being blinded by my blood.

"Whoa whoa!!!"

I froze when I heard a voice yell, and I was carried out into a brighter atmosphere.

Finally managing to open my eyes again, I see a mermaid carrying me that I don't recognize. Huh... looks like Biskey has gathered up some more people.

I heard a bunch of voices a few minutes later, and when we turned around a corner I gasped. Behind many large rock piles, was a huge group of people. Both humans and mermaids?! The humans had air bubbles around their heads to prevent from losing oxygen. The mermaids though were fine on their own. I'd say there was a good one hundred or so people gathered there. How the hell did they get this many people so fast?! Including humans?!

In front of them all, I saw some people swimming up on a Boulder so they could be seen clearer to everyone. It was Biskey, Knuckle, Shoot, Leorio, Killua, and Kurapika. I told Killua to stay away from all of this...

"Biskey!!!" The mermaid carrying me hollered out to her.

She turned and gasped when she saw me surrounded in bloody water in the mermaids arms.

"Gon!!! What the hell?! What happened?!" Biskey shrieked in worry.

"I'm not sure! He just woke up, and he's having trouble breathing!!" The mermaid answered back.

There was panic now among the people I knew, and Killua rushed over to my side.

"Killua... y-you broke your p-promise..." I managed to squeak out through the pain.

"Well so did you buddy... I have to be here for you.." Killua said sadly.

That was when a human came swimming up that I didn't recognize at all. He had brown hair, a blue shirt, jeans, and black converse on. He also wore white goggles over his eyes. I'm not sure why he kept his shirt on in the water but... to each their own.

"Wait! I know some medical procedures I can perform on him! But I have to have him in a room alone..." the man said, making me shiver a little since a cold current went over us.

"Alright, do as you need. But do not hurt him more than he already is. He's one of the strongest we've got..." the mermaid still holding me said, and he put me into the mysterious humans arms.

"Thank you, I promise I'll save him." The human said, and he swam into one of the caves again, leaving Killua behind where he was tearing up.

After a few more minutes, the human had taken out some tools he just so happened to have with him. And he let me lay on the floor.

"By the way, I'm George. I promise I will help you out ok?" He said and I nodded.

"B-but... how are you supposed to help me? Y-you're human and don't have healing magic..." I say with a slight sniff.

He chuckled a little and set aside a tool he had in his hand.

"Hey, who said there aren't humans with magic hm?" He said to me and I titled my head, "I do actually have some healing powers. They aren't all that fancy, but it should help you get your gills back to functioning order. Not only that, but we can do some fancy spells to get you ready for battle. How does that sound?"

"Alright, b-but don't do anything over the top.. you could get hurt.." I mumbled to him.

"Hey don't worry I got it handled. I may be a human whose color blind, and doesn't have a cool fish tail. But trust me I will bring you back to a good spot ok?" George told me, and I nodded up to him.

"Thank you... don't take too long though... I have to help them." I say.

Meruem pov

I chuckled at the sight of the human city falling to pieces. We actually did the destruction a few hours ago, but now the chaos was truly unfolding. The conspiracy theory's, the politics getting involved, it pleased me...

"Sir, we need to get out of here before we are spotted."

I turned from where I was watching the city in the waves. Behind me swam Pouf.

"Fine, but do this for me... I heard from Pitou there was a mermaid rebellion killed off a few days ago. But some escaped... and according to a guard we had patrolling around, they've gathered many others to fight back again. So you'll need to help with that." I say, making Pouf sigh.

"Well, I sort of expected that. But what should we do to react?" He asked me while I messed with a stone in my hand.

"I think we should fight... after all, chaos is what we live for don't we? So why not let them fight, but we fight with our army against them too... what was the word humans like to use, oh yes! War, a wonderful thing that would be perfect to demolish them all one by one." I said after giving a maniac like smirk.

Pouf nodded.

"Alright then, I'll have Youpi prepare the troops. I'll take care of the weapons, and Pitou can keep an eye out for the rebels. Is that a good plan?" Pouf asked.

"It's perfect but... don't forget, if you screw up ONCE! You will be crushed under my fist you hear me..?" I say to Pouf with my scary vivid side coming back out to show itself.

"Yes your majesty, we won't let you down." Pouf said with a simple bow, then swam off.

I was going to join him but, I slightly felt the urge to get more power. So why not go chase down a few more pests... that will do the trick...

It'll be fun, to see them cry in vain

Hey everybody is me Author-chan! I'm so sorry that this chapter is so short- I've just been having some tough times lately and I'm exhausted from school work. But I promise  I'll get back into this as soon as possible!
