"But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." -John 4:23-24

Please read the whole chapter 4 from verse 1 to verse 30 in your own Bible for you to understand the situation. I just get this passage as the dwelling verse, but everything that we will be talking about here will all be from the context.

During this time, the Samaritans and Jews should have no dealings with each other. Jews before claim that God and His salvation are just fir them. They were not sharing it to Samaritans or even to other races.

But Jesus here in John chapter 4 proved that He indeed came not for the righteous but for the sinners. Jesus, indeed, offers His grace of salvation to everyone who will believe in Him (John 3:16). The very favt that Jesus met the Samaritan woman showed that He is cutting the gap at this very moment.

The Lord is impressing that:
√ No matter who you are, God wants to meet you!

√ No matter where you came from, God desires to meet you!

√ No matter what you have been through, God desires to meet you!

The time has gone and it is now—you don't have to wait for any perfect situation to come and worship God. Jesus invites us to come as we are in worship. Because the moment you come to Him and accepted Him, automatically, you are given the rights to be righteous in His eyes and that is Grace!

Worshiping in Spirit and in Truth provides a place for intimacy!

To worship in:
Spirit means your spirit is connected with God's Spirit. Your Spirit is close to His Spirit. When this is your worship, worship isn't one-way communication anymore but it becomes two-way communication because as you give God your all, He will give you His more!

There was a time durong our Sunday Service, it was Praise and Worship. One line up is entitled Mahal na Mahal Kita Panginoon (I love you so much Lord). The song was joyful along with the beat and hymn, and as I was singing with all my heart.

Even though the song was joyful, I was crying that time. As I sang Mahal na Mahal Kita Panginoon, I heard God told me back "I love you too si much my child." He kept answering me back the same song I sang to Him. It was just so sweet!

Another moment, there was one time in my daily quiet time with God, before I pray I always ask Him to teach me how to worship Him and teach me what and whom to pray.

So as I worship and pray, His Spirit is constantly revealing things in my heart until I got to the point where God revealed people who gone out of His presence. He said, I must pray for them.

So as I was praying, He place His heart in my heart. I don't know how to express what I experienced that time, but I felt what God's Spirit is feeling about those people He revealed to me. I felt His hurt, I felt His longings, I felt that He is grieving for these lost souls and I can't contain it within me, I was just crying and crying, feeling torned and in pain.

√in Truth means your worship must be in accordance with truth which is His Words. Ofcourse, you cannot worship in Truth if you didn't know the Truth in His Words through Scriptures. And His Words are also Him. Still, INTIMACY.

Jesus stated the Samaritan woman's past and present marital status showing that He knew her from the very beginning. He knew the failures and set backs she had gone and to come, yet, He did not give any reference of her sins. Jesus only gave a time to reflect about herself.

How come that an empty jar is too heavy to carry? Realizing that she kept coming back to things that doesn't satisfy her, not even once.

And now Jesus here made her realize that there are no boundaries for her to come. No matter what race she came from, what situation she had been, what sin she had done... She is invited to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth—a place for intimacy.

Everyone of us are invited for His salvation, grace, relationship and opportunity to worship Him. Come right now! :)

Shalom!
Glory be all to God! :)
