"As for me, I shall behold your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall be satisfied with your likeness." -Psalm 17:15
The Book of Psalm was written when David was encompassed-about by evil enemies who sought to destroy him. He was surrounded by depraved men whose desire was to oppress him. Did you know that David had been credited with righteousness because of his faith?
He has separated himself from the destroyer and purposed his hesrt to keep his thoughts pure and his words honouring to the Lord. David was motivated to maintain his principle or integrity of his heart knowing that the effective prayers of righteous man can acconplish much.
I shall behold—means this is the measure of David's happiness, his satisfaction. He rejoices and is satified in the righteousness of God. Take note: EVEN AT THE MIDST OF TROUBLE AND DEATH.
Many people find satisfaction and joy in wealth in this world even though they achieved it unhonestly.
As a child of God, may your satisfaction and joy be yield in His rightouesness alone!
A person who is truly wealthy walks in a life that is worthy!
The righteousness of God must be your everyday goal as you wak.e up day by day. Our ultimate goal in life must be like the face of Jesus Christ, our original design!
I remember one of my co-cell group member said, "We shouldn't allow ourself to come to the point of death without even having the face like Jesus."
Dear Lord,
Thank You for the life of David. Thank You for making us know his story, and his faith and heart even during the point of death and trouble. I pray to help us apply this principle of Him in every posible situation in our lives. Amen.Shalom!
Glory be all to God! :)
