MOMENT 85: Fainting Life

Is everything around you seems to be messed up?
Is where you are right now rubbing you of your peace?
Are you at the verge of giving up?
Is everything around you and in you fainting away?

This is just a short encouragement for you today:

"When my life is fainting away, I remembered the LORD, and my prayer came to you, into your holy place."-Jonah 2:7

A human is naturally being this way..
Often forgetful...
Often sinful...
Often weak...
Often just a human...

We, humans, always wanted to live on our own lives.

But when times is being tough, that's the only sure moments that we remember to call out for help. Sabi nga nila, sa panahong desperado ka na, do'n ka talagang mapapatawag sa Diyos.

Somehow, it is Biblical. In Job 35:9-11 says, "In times of trouble, everyone begs the mighty God to have mercy. But after their Creator helps them through hard times, they forget about him,.."

It hurts for God to hear us admit that we only remember Him when our lives is already fainting away.

When those times comes, we feel so little. We limit ourselves to coming fully as we are at the feet of the Lord. We are already condemning ourselves and we think that when we pray, it will not reach to His hearing.

But the truth is...

Regardless of your short-comings,
regardless of your sins.,
regardless of how dirty and messed up you are,

Just by truly remembering in your heart who God is and why He should be in your life... God hears you. Your beggings comes to His hearing. He hears the prayer of a pure heart.

When Jonah prayed, he was in trouble, especifically inside the fish's belly. This gives us a lesson that when we are in affliction we must pray.

Being in the fish's belly shows that no place is amiss for prayer. This encourages even the pre-believers or backsliders to come to God no matter where they are or how messed up they are.

Jonah has reflected his earnestness in his prayer,
and God's assured readiness to hear and answer him.

Actually, Jonah's being in the trouble is his fault. It is him who fled away from God and most of the times, troubles are God's way to make you remember Him, call Him and come back to Him.

When life has no good sense at all, isn't it true that that's only when you talk to Him... God what's happening?

Can I challenge you today... That when your life is fainting away, change your attitude. Instead of asking God, why? Begin to remember Him. His former goodness to you, lovingkindness, mercies, His miracles, His saving power.. Your testimonies that He gave you times past..

Remember God! The God that is gracious and merciful! The God who is always ready to forgive! The God who is always willing to save! The God who restores and reconcile! Remember God!

Your sins were indeed the roadblock between you and God but His love, through Jesus, is the mediator of you to Him.

When you sinned...
When life is already mess...
Please don't limit yourself in fully coming into Him. He is more than willing to have you again.

Shalom!
Glory be all the God! :)
