"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let then be afraid." -John 14:27
God will not give you something that you can easily find in the world. He will not give you the things that the world also have.
Of course, how can you learn to depend in Him when you know you can depend on something or someone else?
That's why God created the world and everything in it but do not have the capability to satisfy a person.
It is God's duty. Only Him can satisfy.
Everything around us may provide every tangible things we need in life but, living life only for these bring trouble in our hearts. It does no good. It will never do good because our life's purpose is not dependent in this world. We will just be disappointed by trying to.
That's why Jesus said to us that what He is giving us are not the things that the world can give us. God allows to leave us empty by this world so we will know how to turn to Him and realize that only Him is all our need and is indeed a PEACE.
PEACE is not the absence of problems, but remaining calm, righteous and secure even at the midst of great storn knowing that you have Jesus.
Things to remind yourself:
1. You have Jesus! Be at peace!
2. Life will always trouble your heart out. Don't try to find peace somewhere else aside from God. You'll just be in more trouble.
Peace comes from knowing that Jesus loves you so much that He'll givr anything you need in life that no one and nothing else can.
