Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
We know that Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. -Romans 6:8-11
Accepting Jesus Christ is also accepting His cross. Accepting His cross is also accepting new life in Him.
Jesus didn't died alone, He died with us.
That means, you died in your earthly and selfish desires... You died in your sins.
Whoever dies in sins will gain his life in Christ.
Remember: When you died in sins, God will raised you from death and He will never let you dir again. Death will never have any dominion in you. God will do exactly what He did in Jesus Christ.
2 Things you must be willing:
☑️ Willing to die in yourself
You must make a decision to turn away from what makes your life sinful. Your decision must lead you to an action. Action must be driven by your willingness. Your willingness must be rooted through your faith and love for Jesus. Because if you truly love Christ, you will obey Him—obey His commandments that sums up into righteous deeds.
☑️ Willing to live Christ
Making Him the Lord of your life means everyday obedience to His will and conviction. You will follow Him without any reservation. You will follow Him no matter what is the situation. Obedience must lead by your trust.
Because real obedience will be tested on times that you can no longer understand, seems unfair and unexplainable yet all you have to do is still obey because you trust Him.
Being dead to sin is an everyday choice not to sin.
Being alive on Christ is a dailt decision of submmision to His will.
Shalom!
To God be all the Glory! :)
