MOMENT 88: Take the Warning or Refuse it?

40 8 1

"Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die.

Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand.

But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul." -Ezekiel 3:20-21

Sin is sin! Sin will never be right! Your opinion and reason doesn't matter!

An old saying goes like this: Do what makes you happy.

If you are a Christian, you will not tolerate this advice because you know that you have no rights to be happy if what you are doing is not right in the eyes of the Lord. And it surely doesn't makes Him happy!

This doesn't mean that God doesn't want you to be happy, ofcourse He desires real joy for you! But as a loving Father, He also always wants what is good for you.

Fact: Jesus had experienced the gloomy death caused by sins when He took every sin of the whole world on the cross even though He never made mistakes. He doesn't want you to experience it that's why He gave His life and died on the cross just to save you!

So you must also took up your own cross—the hardest chose in order to follow righteousness. Taking up your cross means to do your best to do what is holy, righteous and pleasing to Him.

Points to ponder through the makn verse:

• You became righteous because of God, He forgave you, He cleanse you, He change you.

• God allowed stumbling blocks on your roads not for you to be stumbled but for you to keep your faith and learn how to resist temptations.

• It's up to you what to choose: LIFE or DEATH? Life if you chose righteousness after being warned. Death if you refuse to do what is right despite of being warned.

James said in his book, chapter 4 verse 17, So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

God encourages you to chose life: Therefore, CHOSE LIFE. CHOSE HIM.
"I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore chose life, that you and your offsprinf may live," -Deuteronomy 30:19

Remember: Your righteous deeds will be considered as negligible once you turn into sinning!

God has different ways of warning to His beloved ones. Has God warned you? That only means He loves you and He doesn't want you to commit sin and gain the fruit of it.

Simple as this: If it doesn't gives you peace then surely, it is not the will of God.
SINNING IS NOT THE WILL OF GOD.

Everyone who goes out of God's will, perishes. Worst, DIES. Don't let it!

Good news is here:
God wants you to live!

Dear Lord,
It is no longer I who lives in me. But You. Please do help me submit to Your will. I do not want to kill this life you've gave me through your sacrifice on the cross. Lord, I say yes to life. Help me live this life I said yes to. Amen!

Shalom!
Glory be all to God! :)
