"Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire, he breaks out against all sound judgment. A fools takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion." -Proverbs 18:1-2
Isolation
-the state of being in a place or situation that is separate from others
-the act of separating somethingThere are two kinds of isolation:
1. Isolation from brothers or sisters in Christ.
One pastor said that we should be careful to be a lone-ranger Christian. We have to understand that we are a body of Christ. We are not meant to be alone.2. Isolation from God.
Whenever we isolate ourselves from others, especially from God, we create a gap or walls in between us and them which hinders them to reach your heart and also hinders them to help your growth.
Remember: ISOLATION IS DANGEROUS.
Never ever isolate yourself from anything that has connection with God because the enemt always loves to attack someone without others by them side!
"The unclean spirit... passes through waterless places seeking rest." -Matthew 12:43
Specks of Isolation:
1. Seeks on desire.
This will always lead someone to his/her wants because he/she dont allow others to entrr his/her life. This is dangerous because own desires are now always spirit's desire. Spirit's desire is for your own good but fleshly desire only leads to destruction.
2. Breaks out against all sound judgment.
Isolated people wouldn't careneven of someone or something is very right. They were fixed to knowing that they're right even if they're wrong.
3. Takes no pleasure to understand.
There are always close to understand broader things, they limit their minds for others.
4. Only express own opinion.
Even if it is absolutely wrong. Opinion was defined as the lowest form of knowledge, it doesn't have any strong proof. Isolated people are only open for fheir own opinion but not willing to listen to others' statement even if is the truth.
Remember: We are meant to connect. We are meant to be with others.
If we ever feel like we are not belong to a certain community in this world, know that you are always welcome in the family of God. There you will find a place to belong. There you will have a place to feel loved and cared for.
God created you to be part of His own family. Don't isolate yourself from Him. He is willing to adopt you as his very own child and treat you as His very own.
Shalom!
Glory be all to God! :)
